ya he has a two-way deal but still has to clear waivers if he is sent down.
-
so does this mean they won't have room for backstrom?
-
I'm sure they won't. This summer they gave away free roast beef sandwiches whenever the Tigers hit three home runs in a game, which was several times.
-
league minimum is steep? And if he was sent down to GR he's on a two-way deal so he would only be making $100k.
-
In hockey I think of it as more of a point percentage than a win percentage. The wings have 10 of a possible 20 points to make them .500.

They're both on entry level two-way deals. Which means they can go up and down without clearing waivers. from capgeek F Darren Helm (DET) Birthdate: January 21, 1987 Age: 22 Contracts Start: 2007 End: 2010 Total Salary: $1,798,332 (breakdown)» 2007-2008: $663,500 » 2008-2009: $630,000 » 2009-2010: $500,000 Cap Hit: $599,444 (RFA) Contract Drilldown START YEAR: 2007 END YEAR: 2010 TYPE: ENTRY LEVEL EXPIRY STATUS: RFA SEASON TYPE AHL SALARY SALARY BONUSES CAP HIT 2007-2008 TWO-WAY $60,000 $663,500 — $599,444 2008-2009 TWO-WAY $60,000 $630,000 — $599,444 2009-2010 TWO-WAY $55,000 $500,000 — $599,444

Helm is on a two-way deal too and can be sent down without having to clear waivers, just like Abdelkader today.

Using this years cap, which I doubt will chage very much because the NHLPA can add a 5% inflator if it does go down. AUTO-GENERATED CAPGEEK.COM LINES FORWARDS Pavel Datsyuk ($6.700m) / Henrik Zetterberg ($6.083m) / Johan Franzen ($3.955m) Valtteri Filppula ($3.000m) / Daniel Cleary ($2.800m) / Kris Draper ($1.583m) * FA ($1.500m) / * Darren Helm ($1.000m) / * Justin Abdelkader ($1.000m) Ville Leino ($0.800m) / * FA ($0.500m) DEFENSEMEN Brian Rafalski ($6.000m) / Brad Stuart ($3.750m) Niklas Kronwall ($3.000m) / Jonathan Ericsson ($0.900m) * Jakub Kindl ($0.883m) / * FA ($0.750m) GOALTENDERS Chris Osgood ($1.417m) / Jimmy Howard ($0.717m) CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS ROSTER: 19; PAYROLL: $46.338m; CAP ROOM: $10.462m BONUSES: $0.000m This leaves $10 mil for Lidstrom and a top 6 forward. Give me Lidstrom for $5 mil and Kovalchuk on a 14 yr $70 mil deal. I'm just exaggerating here, but would Kenny be up for another 10+ yr deal for a Kovalchuk level player?

to my engineering teacher for putting the game on in class. I guess we were learning how to engineer the perfect hockey team.

It's not HD. They will have HD during the regular season but last year not every game was. It's just now that they have their HD channel on 24/7 but when something (like today's game) is not broadcast in HD, they just give you the standard def picture in 4:3 which means there will be side bars if you have a HDTV.

from the wings website just say she's 23 months if they ask

Anyone else having a problem downloading sopcast? I have vista and I click save and then it downloads but when i go to open it, my computer freaks out and windows start popping up and then closing until it crashes.
-
myp2p.eu I think this is a Sopcast stream. I think I have tried it before and it didn't work or you have to download something? Not sure. If someone wants to teach me how to watch using Sopcast, that would be helpful.

I think you're wrong about the Datsyuk part. He doesn't need other guys to set him up. He creates scoring chances. Here's a quote from his scouting report.
-
Franzen did it. 38 pts in 07-08 and 59 in 08-09. That's a 55% increase. Filppula would have to have a breakout year, but it's not like it's rare. Datsyuk did it, Zetterberg nearly doubled his production after the lockout, Cleary did it, Williams did it...now it's Filppula's turn.
-
interesting article...williams signed to be a 3rd line center?
hockey23 replied to a topic in General
I think you're way off. Williams will not mess everything up and definitely won't mess Leino up. Here's a quote from a scouting report on Leino... If he can boost Maltby and Draper's production that much, he can boost Williams' and Williams might actually help him out too because he is much better offensively than Maltby or Draper. -
Who would you rather have...Bertuzzi or Prospal?
-
Did you just say Zetterberg?
-
Yeah, because I heard Toronto was giving him away for nothing. Damn it Kenny.
-
No one has said he has signed. They just said they're negotiating and a deal is likely. Nothing's done yet.
-
I have a feeling Marleau's on his way out. This is just the first step.
-
At this point, as long as he fits under the cap, it doesn't matter to me.

If Detroit gets the 2 seed, Chicago can't get the 3 seed. So if you want to make a bet on how it's gonna be, I'll be happy to.
