$5 mil tax free > $3 before a s*** load of taxes

Do the Rangers not have room for him or do they not want him? If Kenny offered him the same deal he offered Hudler, would the Rangers match it?
-
Trade Lilja or put him on LTIR. This gives us $3 mil to sign Sundin. I think he is a perfect replacement for Samuelsson. Put him on the third line with Helm and Leino and use him on the PP because he's a righty and can shoot. If there is any decent FA left that is willing to take a pay cut to go to a winning team, I think it's Sundin.

Hossa will be the biggest loss, but I'll miss Hudler the most. I always loved it when he scored, he just seemed so excited with that big smile. I'll miss ya lil guy.

July 19th at 9pm. He's nominated for best NHL player. JT was great last year, but Samuel L. Jackson is on the voting page so it might be him.

Will Hat Trick Dick be playing for Farjestads when the Wings play them?

Last year Martin Erat had 23g 34a 57p. Hudler had 23g 34a 57p this year. Erat signed last year when he was 26 for $4.5mil/yr. Hudler is currently 25. Wouldn't this mean Hudler would also get around $4.5mil/yr or was Erat's contract rediculously high. Judging by this, I don't see how the Wings could sign him for around $2 mil.

From Pierre Lebrun's blog... Still not sure what's happening with Marian Hossa. Wings GM Ken Holland was busy on the phone when I checked in this morning and I got this note from Hossa's agent Rich Winter: "Marian is a very private person. He will not discuss his business with other than those he is dealing with, as I have indicated." Something's going on...maybe he's staying???

Exactly what I've been thinking, but someone would have to go and I don't think it would be Filppula. -

Read my post. I said get rid of Holmstrom instead of Filppula. Now, who do you think should go if Hossa signs? -

Kenny already said he would be willing to move a few guys to keep Hossa. I don't think Kenny would "lose all of our depth" in the process. Who do you think would be moved if Hossa was signed? -

I'd rather lose Holmstrom than Filppula. Filppula gives the Wings great depth at center. That way they could put Pav and Z together if they wanted. If they trade Fil, Pav and Z would be separated unless Helm played 2nd line center, which I don't think is a good idea. -

Zetterberg at 26??? Behind St. Louis, Heatley, Hossa, Jagr, Semin, Spezza, and Richards. Are you ******* kidding. I can understand if it was a fan poll, but the GMs voted??? Not to mention Cindy who was completely shut down by the 26th ranked player and was out scored in the finals. Complete joke
