Out of Market for tomorrows game? Too bad...
DraperFan MN replied to DraperFan MN's topic in General
It's working! Here is my response! Flood this mailbox!!! Can someone post a similar topic @ The Feeder's forums? Jeremie - Thank you for your email. I understand your frustrations. If the game should need to be switched due to timing issues - fans will be notified during the game as to which cable provider will be picking up the game for the duration. Thank you for your email. NHL TV Yeah, but if the NHL receives an overwhelming amount emails, the league will be on notice that the fans are not happy about the TV deals and scheduling. Based on a variety of recent interviews by Bettman and others involved with the league, I really think they are clueless to our frustration. -

I read the title of this thread. No need in reading any of the other posts, because here is your answer: Nothing, absolutely nothing. I hated this pickup from day one. I hated the fact he lit it up for a year playing with good linemates and signed the deal Holland offered him. IMO, the day this team does not have a player named Mikael Sammuelson it willl be better off. The combination of this guy and Robert Lang have continually hurt this team in more ways than one, and they continue to inhibit the development of younger players who sit while these two boners glide around the ice.

Wasn't on the boards or chat room at all last night, so just want to comment: While the Wings looked flat and out of sync, I absolutely thought the Sharks played a fantastic game. With a two goal lead after the first on the road, they did exactly what they should have. Sit back and make the Wings come to them. I hate to repeat what Sharks fans and everyone else has said, but they are big, fast, and skilled up front. If their blue line continues to play above their heads and get plenty of help by sitting back and getting help after establishing a lead, this could be a short series.

I have that sense too, but I am holding my breath for this series. They do have a chip on their shoulder, and I remember the last series the Wings were vastly undersized and EXPECTED to lose with a relentless coach behind the bench. I think the year was 1997 -
I think so edicus, at least I have never seen it.

I didn't see much of this period, as I was snoring through it. but I'll take your word for it. As far as the rest of the list, I really have no arguments, but McCreary did have some phantom calls during the Calgary series.

Lets give credit to players that had a great series

I was hoping someone would say this. Kipper was AMAZING. Technically about as sound as they come. He was a steal for the Flames when they picked him up from the.....was it the Sharks? -
The Flames are a different TEAM at home.

Per TSN: McLennan suspended 5 games, Lebda out for Game 6
DraperFan MN replied to Ozzie30's topic in General
But not as much as the Calgary Puck forums yesterday Seriously, this is just a lot of passion, and the way it should be. We are all being fans. With that said, a certain amount of objectivity is necessary. The suspension seems right, and the fines seem right. Playfair sent his guys out to goon it up at the end, that was clear. While I didn't like what Langkow did, The hipcheck Lebda laid on him wasn't entirely clean either. That's hockey. Tonight ought to be a dandy. -
Dead on. Cub, I haven't seen you here in some time!
-
YoungGuns, I think you were out of line here. I think he had a point. I didn't agree with it entirely, but he had a point.

I think Calgary is taking what Detroit gives them, and objectively, I think it is easy to determine that Detroit is not playing anywhere near the level it played in games 1 and 2. While I don't agree with the statement, with the games so close, I understand the sentiment.
-
REALLY? I really enjoy it, in HD, feels like you are are in the first half of the upper bowl.
-
I have to hand it to Calgary, they are blocking A LOT of shots with their sticks and bodies. For the love off all that is holy, before they make a pass or take a shot, take a peek.
-
Sorry, it's not in the script.
-
You took the words right out of my mouth. I cannot convey how much I disagree this move. Lang or Sammy deserved a benching infinitely more than Calder. I understand Sammy is on the point with Kronwall out, so make the tough decision and bench Lang.

...and Dom could have cut down the angle a bit more What the hell is up with these calls McCreary?
-
Wow, Lids has had two mistakes which led to the last two goals.
-
Well, that was a crap call. That was entirely incidental contact.
