I am completely shocked, I did a little dance when I read this. Lids - Rafalski Kronwall - Stuart Ericsson - Lilja Lebda - Meech/Chelios Quincey gets traded, and we still have Kindl and Ference sitting in Grand Rapids.

Honestly, I think Quincey is the odd man out here, because a kid everyone keeps forgetting about, is Ericsson. I see: Lids - Rafalski Kronwall - Lilja Ericsson - Meech/Lebda/Chelios We also have Kindl and Ference sitting down there if we HAVE to call someone up. Maybe we just rent Stuart from the Kings again when they don't make the playoffs next year? I liked Stuart, he was a big part of the run, but if he wants to be here, he has to understand that he can't be paid more than Kronner. He can't bring half of the hitting or offense Kronner can bring. Now, with that said, Stuart really allowed Kronner to open up his game this post-season, so I understand the argument there, but it just can't happen.

You mean the imposter, the guy who gave me a bad name around here? I haven't seen him in a while. As for Bert, we've been down that road...I think he could prove to be productive over the course of an entire season here, and he still has enough skill to play with our guys. I dunno, for the right price, Bert would be worth it.

Mine fits a bit loose too, but nothing that will keep me from wearing it. I had to get mine off ebay, basically paying an extra $10 bucks because I couldn't find any stores in the MOA that had any, which is where I picked up my 2002 hat.

*Hits head on desk* I'm a Michigan transplant living in the State of Hockey, and let me just say something: Why on God's green earth would they make this move?!!!! THE #1 reason this team cannot succeed with all the offensive talent they have on this roster is that they can't get the puck moving from the back end. They lack a real point man on the power play, and when that guy is a forward (Brian Rolston) they can't commit all the resources they need to getting to the net because they have to have another guy play responsibly and cover his ass in case he gets caught. Until the Wild make a big committment to a top-flight defenseman who can play the 25-30 minutes a game and do all the things I talked about, the Wild are just talk themselves. If I were a Wild fan, which I'm not, I would be pissed. This move makes absolutely no sense. Watching the Wild is like watching paint dry on my eyeballs, and Lemaire is too pompous to change his strategy to fit his players or today's game. What a joke. I think the honeymoon is about over in St. Paul.

It will be a good tandem, and I'm hoping that Howard pushes and gets 25-30 games so we can really see what he is capable of. If he only pushes twenty, I don't think that gives Ozzie enough rest during the season and Howard doesn't get the work he needs for the organization to determine what they have in him.

I agree Puckloo.....I was a Hasek fan in 02 (obviously) and I had my problems with him when he came out of retirement and created that fiasco in the lockerroom, but we have to give the guy his due. He was a great goaltender, and really finished things the right way, and earned just as much of this Stanley Cup as any other guy on the team. Congrats Dom!

Honestly, I'd like to see the 5th, 6th, and 7th defensemen be Ericksonn, Meech, and one of either Lilja or Lebda. I think Ericksonn and Meech are out of options, and I don't think Kindl played to well in GR last year right? Let Kindl stay down for one more year. I really doubt there is room for Chelios and Quincy on this roster. Maybe Cheli can stay on in a mentor role, working these guys out and showing them what they need to do to be successful. The fact he was a healthy scratch throughout the Finals speaks volumes, and Ericksonn and Meech need to start getting at least third pairing playing time at the NHL level.

Southern part of the Cities where Northwest is, there is bound to be a lot of transplants down that way. So it's on!
