Really? This thread is six pages? I was hot after I watched Ribero swing at Ozzie, but after watching the entire replay and Ozzie's acting...I can't really argue with the league here. I think they should have limited their fines to Oz and Ribero, but oh well. This was just chippy playoff hockey. I hear the argument that Ribero shouldn't be swinging his stick, and I agree, but it was provoked and Ozzie wasn't injured, so all is good. Bring on game 3. Jeremie

Its just how it works sometimes....but Pavel and Hank have played with injuries during playoff series', and there aren't asterisks next to those. Screw the Avs, they've made bad personnel and coaching moves, players were hurt at inopportune moments, and the Wings did what you have to do with a wounded opponent, and that is dominate them. No asterisk necessary.

I guess this is a definition of a highjacked thread Maybe I should have been more specific....does this line have a nickname, and if not, what are some ideas? "The High Def Line" was my initial thought.

Anytime you can gold the sharks scoreless in the tank...that is a good road period. Edit: I meant "hold the sharks", not "gold the sharks"....but I thought I should leave it. Kind of funny after a couple of drinks.

When did we become so politically correct around here? This is an Avs fan we are talking about people! I can respect Sharkfan and Duck Guy.....but honestly, I have to reach way down to respect Avs fans, if I can at all. I'm not speaking for anyone else but myself when I say: Sorry...I'm sure you're a nice guy and all, but by virtue of being an Avs fan, I hate you. Enjoy your stay I guess, but I certainly won't be interacting with you. I won't flame ya or purposely cause disruptions with you during the series, but I certainly don't have to pretend were bosom buddies either. Going further, I'm a Michigan transplant in Minnesota, and I can say with absolute certainty that hockey fans in Minnesota are 10 times more knowledgeable about the sport than fans in Colorado. You may just think they are uncivil because they hate the Avs and their fans about as much as Red Wings fans.

Duck Guy, I like you. You're a stand up guy, so I don't mean to offend you when I say this: I could care less if there is a successful franchise in Anaheim, and Brian Burke staying in Anaheim (while I really dislike the guy) gives the Ducks a better chance of being successful. I do care if there is a successful franchise in Toronto. I hope Burke leaves, and leaves promptly to revive the Maple Leaf.

When Maltby comes back, Sammy sits. I am seriously impressed. Uses his speed, holds on to the puck, plays bigger than he really is, and has good ice vision. Oh yeah, he plays well along the boards and grinds when necessary. What on God's green earth does it take for the rest of you to be seriously impressed? Hockey snobs... He and Meech will have roster spots next year.
