So much crap, the league has to do something about this and put Burke in his place....let's just sign a bunch of free agents, go way over the cap, and have a bunch of our stars "retire" and come back for the playoffs. We could have a dynasty!!!

Yeah, I really don't see the value in this, and the horrible example we can look at is the NBA.

Yes, that caught my attention more than anything else! They were adamant about that a couple of times in the article. The leadership really does not like the fact they are kept in this division so the other stadiums will fill up. Detroit's greatest rivalry should be with Toronto, (it is the NYY/BOS of hockey), and it doesn't exist. Those pre-season games just left me wanting more.

Hi everyone! I live in Minny, and a friend with season tix couldn't go to the game last night and offered them to me. I noticed a lot of what you all have already said: 1. Howard was sharp. He didn't get a lot of work, but damn, he looked quick. 2. Chelly looks ready for another season 3. Pavel, Homer and Franzen dominated 4. Ozzie also looked sharp 5. The Wild had quite a few of their regulars out there, including their top two defenseman - Johnnson and Foster. 6. Boogaard needed the gamer, he was out of control in the FIRST preseason game. 7. Grigs is number 21 right? I wasn't sure before last night's game, and I was sitting quite a ways up, so I couldn't tell for sure....I digress, if he is 21, he was certainly a step slow and looked out of place.

Not to *****, but the NHL needed to get their s&^t together with the current NHL Center Ice package. They need to offer more games in HD, set up watching out of market pre-season games and fantasy player tracking with the regular television package (Sunday Ticket has this very cool feature), and if anything....this feature should be FREE for television subscribers, not just 50% off. Again, the NHL continues to squeeze blood out of the stones that are its die-hard fans, instead of rewarding those who have stuck by through what is one of the worst periods in NHL history under Gary Bettman.

It's like they stuck the classic looking third jersey and the current jersey into a garbage disposal in Vancouver, and this is what it threw up. Absolutely horrible.

Oh, I'm sorry, which NHL team are you a GM for? You have no idea if it will work or not, none of us will until we see it out there, and the word atrocious is a bit dramatic don't you think? What Hudler did with limited minutes on the "He's lazy and he sucks" line was far from atrocious, and Flip flat out impressed at times last year. With a pit bull like Grigorenko centering those two, that line could be dominant.

Datsyuk - Zetterberg - Holmstrom Hudler - Grigorenko - Flip Franzen - Draper - Cleary Maltby - Kopceky- Samuellson I think I like the lines like this, and I don't think their horrible by any stretch of the imagination.... Grigorenko is not going to be your average rookie breaking into the league, despite assertions made by many here. Hudler and Flip showed everyone all they need to see this year, and I think with real minutes, they could do some damage.....the last two lines could be mixed up any way you like, and with Draper and Maltby serving a lot of time on the PK, they will have to be.

That is where I am at, I really liked what Hudler did last year with his limited playing time. I think Babs has got to put him on the second line and see what this kid can do. Hudler - Grigs - Flip anyone?
