So wtf is going on everyone? I'm looking forward to the game, and even more, looking forward to some good banter here. Haven't been on in a while....a long while, and I've missed it.

I don't care what happens, Franzen is a keeper out of these four. Only one of Z and Hossa can be kept. My dream is that we can keep Franzen, Z, and Huds.

I guess I have this little part of me that roots for the Wild because I live here, but damnit, I've always said I'd rather let paint dry on my eyeballs than watch an entire Wild game. I think that quote will be the beginning of the end for Lemaire as the Wild coach. Riseborough better pull his head out of his ass, and I wonder if Leipold (Remember him from Nashville?) will let this team languish in mediocrity like he did with the Preds.

It's about time their indecisveness and flat out refusal to field a team for a place which is constantly filled bites them in the ass. The Gaborik saga should have been over long ago. Just like the Fernandez/Roloson fiasco. I loathe Lemaire. I know he is a HOF'er, Stanley Cup winning player and coach, but I think he's an ass. He is absolutely stubborn about the style of play for the Wild, despite the fact they have had young, skilled, and fast players. There is not a reason the Wild should be consistently in the top end of the Western Conference standings.

This game (well, really the last two) had so many implications, and really, the truth of the f&*ken matter is this: Joel Quenneville is the Detroit Red Wings' *****.

During the second intermission of the game versus the Hawks, Holland just said "I think we can keep two of them comfortably..." when speaking of Zetterberg, Hossa, and Franzen. With Zetterberg being signed a foregone conclusion, the let debate begin. Hossa or Franzen?

I agree, as we have speculated for a while now, but this is the first time I remember Kenny actually putting the organizations face on it. I'm not sure why Sammy and Huds entered the topic conversation, as I didn't ask questions about those two. So why do you think Hossa > Franzen?

I have to agree. I love Hossa on this team, I really do, but damnit, for the long haul and just looking at the player he is and how much better he is going to get (it is hard to imagine, but I don't think he hit the ceiling yet) I don't think we can turn away the Johan.

It is a job, and he has employers. We couldn't go around our workplace saying things such as this, and neither should Avery. On the flip side, he's also pretty entertaining.

The team is going to make a few moves out of necessity and other moves to change the chemistry and performance of the team as the season progresses. To make a determination that a system or players are not working in NOVEMBER (when the team's record is 15-4-4) is ridiculous.

Backstrom is a talent I was referring to in my initial post, and they stumbled on to him. Yes, he was in their system, but this organization took waaaaay too long in sorting out the Fernandez/Roloson situation, and when their hand was finally forced, Backstrom just took the job and made both of them expendable. I know what you mean about TV coverage. This team is not only boring, but you're right, they aren't shown much in outstate Minnesota. Even here in the Twin Cities, you STILL can't get the games in HD on a regular basis. My theory is that the gate has been and continues to be so good, they just don't have to put forth the effort.
