When I got back from class at around noon, all of the doubles and cheap seats were gone. I ended up buying a more expensive single. It was like 100 bucks. About what time should I arrive for this event to catch the ceremony? 6est? Also has anyone heard anything regarding when the season tickets will be sent out?

First of all, Thank you very much. According to my ticket, the game starts 7 pm. Now is that the time of puck drop or when the "ceremony" starts? Details please

Hossa skates with the team, feels right at home...

A paycut, yes, but not half of what he is worth. Imo he will sign for about what dats makes. I think he will buy into the "no one makes more than Lidstrom" because of how much respect he has shown towards him (calling him the best player for sweden ever, ect ect). -
http://redwings.nhl.com/team/app/?service=...ge&id=23095 The regular box office prices are on the far right. You will have to add ticketmaster charges to that as well.

I can see the headline next june: "Chris Osgood, The "worst" goalie to ever win 4 cups!" Osgood is the perfect fit for this team. He's a calm leader. The team loves him. The fans love him. I have 100% confidence in his ability to take this team to another title, if he is well rested.

The last two teams to repeat are Detroit and Pittsburgh. Detroit had the motivation of #16 and Pittsburgh had the motivation of Bob Johnson (head coach who died from cancer between runs). I don't think there is any doubt it's difficult to repeat in the NHL. With that said, I think this Detroit squad is in great position. They added to the team instead of dismantling it. With our system and the way Babcock has this team programed, I can't see us losing a 7 game series if we stay healthy. Detroit is too strong in terms of veteran leadership to let motivation be a problem.

I'm not going to lie, I go to the pens board for a laugh from time to time.

The only teams, as of now, I would be concerned with in the West would be San Jose and Dallas. That doesn't rule out a team riding momentum, but those seem to be the two other powers in the Conference. No one concerns me from the east (maybe the Habs). I honestly believe Det/Dal/San would all win a 7 game series agains any East team in the finals. Hopefully, we wrap up the number 1 seed. I'd like to see Dallas/San Jose beat the hell out of and elimate each other before they meet us in the west finals. HUGE advantage.

What makes the Red Wing's organization worth taking less money

Winning-short/longterm, Class with-in the organization, Tradition/history. It's really that simple. -

""no one wants to start the negotiations with "I think I'm worth more than Lidstrom"."" hahahha I think Zetterberg will give Detroit a discount, and could be the next captain/lifelong wing. As for Hossa, after he helps us to another cup (I HOPE!), I think there could be a possibility he likes what he sees and takes another discount to stay with the wings.

I would be sick to my stomach seeing Yzerman on another team. I think they will find a way to make it work out. We keep Holland and Yzerman.

I have a couple questions regarding how things work with season tickets(I bought the Howe plan). If some previous season ticket holders could please fill me in that would be great! Thanks! Playoffs. I usually like to buy 2 tickets to 1 game a round. When the presale comes can I just order the one game (or do you have to order all home games in the rd?)? Do they just email me the code come playoff time? is it different each rd? ect. Details plz. When should I expect my tickets? I ordered them almost 2 weeks ago and I haven't physically got them yet. Just curious. ALSO... The song that's starting to play. Could someone please tell me the name? I've been trying to think of it FOREVER!! The times! 4:18-4:29 4:32-4:36 8:18-8:35 8:45-9:05 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbrwlUtrwzA

I live and die with the Red Wings (and to a lesser extent Michigan Football). I have watched or attended almost every game since I was like 7 (i'm 19 now). There is no place I would rather be than in Joe Louis Arena. I have so many collectables from throughout the years you could call it a shrine. There is no way I could ever consider rooting for anyone. I am loyal beyond belief to the Red Wings. I understand most sports fans can route for and like multiple teams in the same sport or acrossed other sports but that's just not me. I don't mean to ruin your topic or anything, but the thruth is that's my answer. The only other teams I can even stand are the other Original 6. Teams with a long history and tradition. Montreal/Toronto/New York/Chicago/Boston. I would hardly say I root for them or watch them though...

Yep, I was there and in your exact same situation. I completely agree. Although you have to admit, that atmosphere for the last 10 minutes was incredible. The way Detroit dominated and the 34.6 seconds really added to the disapointment. I'm glad the team responded well to such a heartbreaker and won game 6 though. A stanley cup in the end

Yeah, I bought the Howe plan as soon as I saw it.

http://promo.realestate.yahoo.com/americas...ing-cities.html "America's Fastest-Dying Cities Where's it worst? Ohio, according to our analysis, which racked up four of the 10 cities on our list: Youngstown, Canton, Dayton and Cleveland. The runner-up is Michigan, with two cities--Detroit and Flint--making the ranking. It wasn't always this way. Despite years of economic decline, in the first years of the new century the employment situation did not look so bad--3% to 4% unemployment was the norm, along the lines of metropolitan areas elsewhere in the country. The rest of the decade was not so kind. Thanks to a crushing downturn for automakers like General Motors and Ford, Detroit and Flint, Mich., have seen unemployment approach 10%. Detroit, Mich. (Detroit-Warren-Livonia, Mich., metropolitan statistical area) Migration (since 2000): -174,592 Total population change: +15,033 June 2008 unemployment: 9.7% (2000 average: 3.7%) Annualized GDP growth: 0.5% High-unemployment and the continued struggles of General Motors and Ford have left Detroit something of a scrap heap, with stalled growth and a fleeing populace. Is there hope for a brighter future for Detroit? Since 2000, the city has witnessed something of a baby boom, with 430,000 babies born in a period that only 280,000 died. Maybe someday they'll all grow up to drive Chevy Volts?" Detroit had a sellout streak of almost 500 games (more than a decade) until the auto industry fell.

I've always enjoyed Ken and Mickey. Thorne and Clement were awesome because usually they called the big games and have a lot of the big time Red Wings moments.I would love to have them and the excitement they bring back. The Nbc people were so biased towards the Penguins that I honestly was furious just listening to it all series.

I'm quite happy with these low picks. Low picks mean success. You should start worrying when we are picking high with the Atlanta's/columbus'. I don't see any reason why we can't continue this long term (it's already been 17 years). Detroit drafts and develops role players and every once in a while gets a gem (dat/zet) but they have always used free agentcy. Free agentcy allows them to fill in the holes with talent. They know their system and at this point you can't argue with it and there's nothing to worry about (for the forseeable future)

May not be the best goal but it's definately the most pathetic goal ever~
-
It's not the whole game, but here's just a small highlight of it

It was the goal that ended a 42 year cup drought. I mean does it get any more significant than that?...
