Downey makes an avalanche player cry and bleed that is my only prediction

id much rather see somethin like this every few games from Downey plus the energy he seems to bring than kopecky yes he had a nice goal shorthanded last night i give credit where its due but usally Kopecky just seems like he brings nothin least downey brings the scrappiness and Hossas not even around to fight now [=p] KEEP DOWNEY UP

no this is not a Ty should start over osgood in the playoffs or conks is better thread i was wondering if there has been any talks of an extension for Conks? i know we have many upcoming free agents needing to be signed bu Conklin has been nothing short of great this year (not coutning last game but im a goalie and i woulda donebetter than oz and conks..just wasnt their night) but i think conklin would be a great goalie to have on the roster for a few more years any news or information on this would be greatly appriciated!

i do agree he may have a better shot at money and playing time else where tho hes quickly become a favorite player of mine ill root for him wherever he goes tho id love to see him stay who knows maybe he love sit here and takes a discount but if it came down to keeping both franzen and hossa and letting conklin walk or keeping conks but either mule or hossa have to leave id rather keep hos and franzen because we have other options at goalie but gotta love conks

love leino love helm both great players played great but DOWNEY!!!!!!! he played well in the one game this year and after the 8-0 game i think donwey will be a nice energy boost in a way different than goal scoring which we have plenty of im real happy to see him up i was against him going down tho im glad i got to see leino also stoked to see ericson

i do beleive if theree are muiltiple games on NBC that NHL center ice picks up the other feeds but that Blue Jackets game wont be a problem for me i got my tickets yesterday =] god i love messin with blue jackets fans all they say is "red wings suck man!!!" i respond with"whens the last time u made the playoffs? never whens the last time red wings did? o yea...last year and what did we do? just won a little thing calledthe stanley cup...no big deal" that shuts em up

i was looking at the standings and i noticd that in the west all but the last 2 teams are playing .500 hockey as to the east where only the top 10 teams are at the .500 mark and also looking at the west vs east records all teams in the west but st louis (15th in the West) have a .500 or better winning % against the east http://www.nhl.com/ice/standings.htm?type=...id=NAV|STN|East always thought the west was better but i didnt think the west was this dominant

ive always kind of thought of the east as like weak as in toughness it may be wrong but ive always seen the west as the tough teams , and on top more talented take some crappy team from thewest like idk blues maybe or the jackets and shove them in the east in replace ment for a lower east time like NYI or tampa or atlanta (haha atlanta) and i bet the blue jackets finish 6 or higher specialy wit the play of Mason lately

i wouldnt say the D has been terrible maybe not as good as last year but whn they are given up less than 20 shots a game of late thats not to bad but the goaltending worries me sepcailly Osgood last night that pp goal where he was beat short side was aweful and the first goal was stopable but not a big deal Pyat beat him clean but ozzie needs to step up and he is more than capable

i think its time for a shakeup and for starter lettin howard play would be nice in limited NHL action last year he was damn good when i watched him im not sayin name him our starter from now till the playoffs just let him start a couple also bring up Abdelkator (spelling) sit malts or kopecky and let Abdekator come in hes sure to bring en energy filled physical game

im feelin a 4-1 win i want ozzie to start to let him try to get into a rythm tho i do like Conklin as well so either way i guess goals from cleary hudler franzen x2....seems like hes due for a couple

so far ozzie has struggled a little i do think hes played better than his stats indicate but not much better i did not watch last nights game but ive watched every game previous and he hasnt had that one great game yet it seems, and he had plenty last year im not sayin start Conklin tho he seems a very reliable goalie im just voicing some slight concern is ozzie noted for slow starts? his last season as a starter in Detroit was 00/01 so its been awhile since ive paid great attention to Ozzie as an out right starter

if we trade Lidstrom Zetterberg Datsyuk and hossa for crosby we are guranteed to win the cup cause crosby is the best player ever

who in their right mind would give up on this seaon? we are 7-2-2 playing the greatest? hell no we arent but the best teams are those who fin a way to win when the bounces and calls arent goin their way the D and goaltending is too good to not get on track we still own this league! GO WINGS

exactly im a goalie myself an i know if i get a couple good starts back to back that usally turns into a good run of high quality starts so once ozzie gets a groove goin hes GAA will go down and the save% up

i do agree with u there id be more concerned if he was given up easy slop but if i recall correct i beleive it was the OT loss to vancouver where 2 of VANs goals were like triple deflections ozzie hasnt been given to many break thats for sure

well slightly off subject but can anyone post a radio stream for tonights game? last nighr i saw one a montreal feed on the GDT which worke great
