I agree. Hank will realize that we have other guys like franzen who we are trying to fit in our long-term cap as well. i think he will sign long term for somewhere between 4 and 6 million a year.

It was definantly Lidstrom. I was born in 92, started watching hockey in 98. Even back then Lidstrom was (at least to me) the wings best player.

If i had to pick a team besides the Wings i would have to go with The Boston Bruins. I have a friend that plays in their organization with Providence. You guys might know him, Steve MacIntyre, a bigtime enforcer. Go to YouTube, type in his name and you will see what i am talking about.

He never earned my respect. He was washed up his last 2 years in Detroit, was washed up with Columbus, and still hasnt proven to me in Washington that he is worthy of having his number retired by any team. Oh and im not sure if any of you have heard, but he is having lawsuits filed against him by a bank in Detroit for not paying back over a 2 and a half million dollars in loans

Chelios and McCarty get resigned. Downey gets traded/ dropped because McCarty has senority over being our enforcer/fighter. We can let quincy go because we have a ton of depth on defense as it is.

Your just a little too late if you want to see Cheli wearing the C in Chigago. They named Jonathan Toews the captian a few weeks ago

There is no way Cheli is going to the hawks. The reason his next contract isnt done is most likely because he is thinking of retiring...after all he is 46 years old. Plus he owns 2 restaurants, one in Detroit and one in Dearborn. He cant mannage them from Chi-town. His family has settled down in detroit as well. Bottom line is he will stay in Detroit until he retires

Is that a serious question? I mean, Come on man. We have been the most dominant team in the NHL for the past ten years. 17 straight years of making the playoffs, which happens to be a sports history record. 4 Stanley Cups in the past 11 years and conference champions 6 of the past 7 years. The reason we dont sell out Joe Louis anymore is because we are so used to winning. We never have to worry about making the playoffs or winning the conference anymore, because we know its going to happen. If anyone ever tells you we aren't hockeytown anymore, just show them the statistics.

First Line: Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Holmstrom Second: Franzen, Cleary, Hossa Third Line: Maltby, Draper, Fillpula Forth Line: Helm, Hudler, McCarty/ Downey (Kopecky is still hurt) The reason i say Cleary over Fillpula on the 2nd line is because he was more of a go to guy for us last season. He never stood out like Fillpula does, but Cleary is our top secondary scorer.
