Just my opinion, as a fellow goaltender,don't mean to demean anyone who thinks otherwise. I agree the end result was unfortunate,but honestly I didn't see much that would make me say that was an elite starting goalie performance. Saying it his best performance of the season doesn't mean much, but I'd like to look through his starts before I said something definitive on the issue. Anyway have a good night and we need to get them next game! -

I would say he played well, not awesome but that's just me. Was a surprisingly physical game tonight, I enjoyed that. -
Why should he refuse? He didn't ask for this. It would be a great experience for his family. Also for someone who isn't taking in millions, the all star bonus would be welcome pay.

I would argue we didn't develop dekeyser since he was an older rookie going straight from college to the nhl. Also we weren't the only ones going for him, it's not like we were the only ones who knew he would be good, so I don't know how much credit the front office should actually get for acquiring him

I personally think the 3 on 3 is substantially more legitimate than the shootout. (This coming from a defenseman who has some offensive ability but is also a shutdown d man who would prefer to pass) I mean the 3v3 would have a pass made or defenseman who stops someone which is more "hockey" to me than a shootout

I question if it's still possible today to get as many steals as the wings did in the late rounds. There's so many scouts all across world and so much more video footage. What say you guys? -
Honestly I've long been against franzen. I'm not changing my tune now he's long been much to soft and inconsistent effort wise for my liking. I can't speak to his injury history and susceptibility to future injuries but I'd feel bad if he became a vegetable. Having said that a nice trip to retiremt or ltir would be welcomed by me

Matt belesky is going to be a big name he may be overpaid but he's a tough guy willing to drive the net. As I've said before I'm not opposed to taking on an overpaid contract as long as they provide something. Weiss does nothing like I said he would. There are a lot of playoff and good teams with overpayed players it's part of the game, but if they're doing something besides putting up massive numbers that's fine

I think he deserves blame for consistently fielding a small soft team. It's not the brand of hockey I want to see and we see all too often how easily they're pushed around in the playoffs
