Well, even though you're enjoying your freedom to not care, I'm going to tell you that I would absolutely love it if Osgood could pull together & win another one. I love the man, but I'm just not feeling it this year & I don't think he is either. & there are several fairweather Osgood fans everywhere. Trust me. Most people would love it if he could do it. They just aren't expecting it from what they've seen.

I guess I'm just not really expecting much. Last year, it felt like the year all year. This year, it feels terrible all year. I think it's just something us hockey fans can sense. Maybe I'm crazy. f*** it. Low expectations are easy to meet. Go Wings.

.800 in the SV% colomn is not going to cut it in the NHL, let alone the playoffs. I love Osgood & I appreciate everything he's done for us, but he's not going to get us to the cup; not this year. & I'm not sure if Conklin can either. The big thing against him is that he has no playoff experience, but you have to get it somewhere, sometime. One of these "diamonds in the rough" needs to be a goalie. With the way we build our team, we can't afford to pick up an elite netminder. We have to draft one. Hopefully, McCollum's that guy. I wouldn't be opposed to throwing him into the playoffs, at least I wouldn't be if I KNEW our defense would play in front of him. I'd hate to see him get embarassed. Edited for redundancy.

Green is is great - for fantasy hockey. He's not very good defensively.

We need to sign Hossa. I was all for Franzen before, but Hossa is so much better than I thought he was. If we do end up losing Hossa, you can bet I'll be cheering for him on his returns to the Joe. The man's a Red Wing. He has the Red Wings mentality. He wants to win. He fits here & I love him. I hope he stays & I hope he gets his cup with us. Side note: I feel like a topic killer. Anyone remember that game against Chicago when we scord two goals in the last 30 seconds & then Pavel won it in OT with the clock showing 0.01? I don't have the video but if someone can get that whole sequence, wow. I did see the last goal on the first page, but if someone can somehow clip all three together & make a present for me, that'd be awesome. I also have to add in that I loved Pavel vs Hank & Pavel vs Trevor in bubble hockey.
