ACL injuries don't work like that, after surgery the ligament is actually stronger than the one jeebus gave you. Back in the day people had trouble with the fixing points and if you take a crap ton of cortizone shots you'll have issues but PT is about muscle not the ligament. Now the muscle memory and strength probably wont be there unless he's hitting the PT real hard but if the ligament goes in the olympics its because it would have gone regardless of previous injuries.

They took the night off it really is as simple as that. This isn't the Wings of old and as fans we need to realize that. For the DRW to win pretty much any game they have to put in a monumental effort as they are severely outclassed in the talent department. Simply put the kind of effort they need to put in to win just isn't sustainable for 82 games. At certain points guys are just going to take the night off. You may think the young kids would still play hard but they follow the big boys and it was pretty clear they weren't playing hockey last night. Its a tough place for Babcock because at a certain point flipping out on them just stops working....it will be interesting to see what happens against the Canes.

It really is amazing in terms of the way they are playing defense right now, anytime things break down they all fall back into the net. I can think of at least 6 times this season where skaters have literally pulled one out of the net though I don't think any of this takes away from what Howard has accomplished so far this season. Kudos to Babcock for figuring out this is basically the only way they are winning games right now. Helm is the kinda player you love to watch...now if he only developed a little touch around the net.

Against the Ducks he was one of the best players on the ice, some points would be nice but that isn't happening for him yet. Good to see a win without points by Z, Dats or Bert with this duct tape lineup we are going to need a lot of scoring from 3/4 line guys to stay in the hunt. I think Kindl would be a better call up than Janik, Kindl can move the puck and right now the DRW need goals from everyone and anybody. Howard may end up being the real story of this season, he battles hard and with one possible exception he's put the team in a position to win every night.

Why didn't he tell us ? I mean if all Leino needs to be productive is a gf I think we can probably hook him up. LGW's version of E-harmony if you will, we will base our matches off how many points he puts up. Hell he can have an entire harem if he puts up 30 goals.

I think I'll go with this approach too, way better than the drinking Draino way though its getting harder everyday to be even slightly optimistic.

The talented wings (dats, Z, Clear, Mule, Flip, Hudler etc.) lived off the cross seam pass, I wish I had video of the last two season's games but trust me they lived off cross seam stuff, particularly on the PP. This year they simply aren't converting, most of the time the pass doesn't even get there. Datsyuk I think has had the hardest time adjusting to this, my guess is that the surrounding guys are not as good at getting open as Hossa/Huddler.

Dude Giroux, Van Riemsdyk, Carter, Richards every team in the league would love to have any one of those guys. 4 games is a lot for not waiting a second before you pound someone's face.

If I didn't know better I'd think some of the posters in this thread are from Montreal..lol Give the kid some time he has some nice skills down low, entering the zone and he has made some plays guys just didn't capitalize on. If he eliminates the bad turnovers and plays with more consistent intensity he could be an excellent third line guy, in the mean time we just all have to be patient.

Kindl isn't ready so things could get really interesting tonight. I don't understand the constant hardon for Abdelkader, you smoking crack if you think Abby should play on the first line. Don't confuse playing with speed and energy with playing with skill.
