Is he still signed with Dallas? Is he retiring? Is he still recovering from injury? I haven't heard anything about him for a long time. I know we're fine on defense but this guy was a top offensive threat from the back end just a season or two ago.

The Hawks would be unstoppable if that happened (well until the playoffs anyway).

I don't think Nick would be signing any less than 5mil. He was still the best defenseman in the league the past year and still put up around 60 points.

dude had one decent season (21 points I believe) that's about it. also his career +/- is around -50... pretty poor even for a 4th liner especially on solid defensive teams like the Ducks and Sharks.

I see a lot of people thinking we should let him go. Yes, he played the worst hockey of his career in these past few series but does your feelings change if we learn he played through injury? His effort was there (how many times did he dive at the puck to knock it away from a pen player?) but everything else was gone. edit: to make it clear I'm reserving judgment on holmstrom until I hear the injury report. If he was hurt with multiple injuries (99 percent sure he was) I say he should stay and people should give him a break.
