Can I have Fedorov with Datsyuk's attitude and work ethic?

Signed Holland signs 4 year extension with wings **MOD Warning Post 130**

Whatever happened to retiring when Lidstrom retires? -
This is the kind of player you impede your youth movement with, not guys like Bert, Cleary, Sammy, etc. I want him back, but we're running out of spots.
-
Pretty spot on. I'm happy with the Wings, Little Finger seems to be the most intelligent character on the show. That's us right? (remembers Quincey, Cleary.. )

It's tough to vote against the game 7 goal or standing up to Pronger but that hit on Dion made me leap from my couch. What a monster hit.

Who has been Ken Holland's worst recent free agent signing?

I liked Modano, it's a shame it didn't work out/freak injury. You take a chance on a future hall of famer. Tootoo was an interesting idea, but the rest were garbage from the beginning. -

Sadly reports are it was Babcock behind bringing back Cleary last year so I doubt he has much of a problem with this. "Clears" is his boy for life. Look I was a huge Cleary fan too, but after the massive tolls on his body he just isn't what he used to be out there. Even Homer was a better skater at 38/39 than Cleary is now. -

LOL literally laughed out loud. -
"I don't know why they're not coming here" Is that a real quote? That's highly concerning coming from your GM LOL It's a hard choice but I may have to go against the classic "I like our team" in favor of the "injury deadline". I don't know what's in the water at the Joe but our injuries the past 4-5 seasons have been ridiculous.

Seattle's a good sports town. Their NFL fans are legendary and their MLS fans are the highest attendence in the league. The NBA f***ed them over, maybe they'll welcome hockey with open arms. Maybe they'll take Quincey.

I was scared for a moment.

I'm a little torn. On one hand I disagree with some of the opinions that Tyler Myers is a total scrub the kid had two elite level seasons, I don't know what happened since then but he was a teenager and those kind of things don't just happen. If you're ever gonna take a chance on a player a 6'7 23 year old with 2 great seasons under his belt is the guy. On the other hand I'm not too keen on trading away our developing talent. Right now Tatar and Nyquist feel like Fil and Hudler 2.0 new and improved and it's been a while since we've had some impact forwards break in. I guess I wouldn't be mad either way, as long as we don't trade for any former Wings (are any out there?).

gdt 1/1 Winter Classic 2014 GDT: Maple Leafs 3, Red Wings 2 (F/SO)

I can't believe Tatar thought it was a good idea to stick-handle like that in those conditions (unless you're the Magic Man). The last two Leafs were smart to wrist it without much fuss. -

I think Shanny was motioning towards him too like really Steve? You sure? I'm not surprised, Steves modest to a fault sometimes but that's why we love him. -

Awesome stuff, I'm happy to get to see Stevie on skates for maybe the last time. He didn't look too hot out there but it was still Stevie (I believe him when he says he hasn't skated since he retired). Sergei on the other hand still looks NHL caliber. Him and Slava skated circles around people out there. Mickey looked great too! -
Cool, it's true he lost a step if not several after the lockout but it's not like he had much help. Lots of years wasted away on bad Blue Jacket teams and he still scored a huge game 7 goal for the Caps before he left.
-
Kronner isn't a true number 1 and he showed it last year with struggles with turnovers and play in his own end. That said he stepped it up defensively in the playoffs at the sacrifice of his offense. Was he injured btw? Either way despite not being a true number 1 I still like him and we have him on a reasonable contract. I also believe we can win a cup with him as our number 1 or 2 guy. I think Danny D has the potential to be one at least in his own end. He quietly played amazingly for a rookie.
-
And? There's a reason number 1 defenseman are a premium, not everyone has one.
-
You're right but proven scoring depth doesn't hurt for one of the lowest scoring teams in the NHL. Replacing Brunner's production with a 41 year old Alfie isn't a slam dunk. I think a 2nd veteran top 6er will help shoulder the load. There's plenty of vet wingers out there that'll come on 2mil 1 year deals.
-
I see. Then forget Gagne and slot in Tatar. Both Tatar and Nyquist are 100 percent NHL ready, I only wanted an excuse to have Gagne cause I've always liked him. Oh well, I still think Prospal would be a great fit.
-
Happy for Shanny and Cheli. Dumb they didn't use the 4th slot. Where's Makarov? Shouldn't that be a no brainer? As for Forsberg he'll get in first ballot easy. No question. Lindros on the other hand has made too many enemies and he might have to wait a long, long time.

For a couple years he was among the best backups in the league. Too bad it didn't work out the second time around.
