The answer is one more than 9th place team. Forget trying to calculate how many ... you never know how things will pan out, just keep on winning and we're in control of our destiny.

Seriously, it looks like none of the teams in 8-12th spot really want that 8th spot bad enough ... including our Wings. Every team in those positions are just hobbling along ... winning every other. Dallas, Calgary, St. Louis, Minny, Anaheim, Columbus ... and us of course. It is true, 15 out of 19 seems near impossible but you just have to outpace whoever is in 9th spot.

O'Halloran ... wasn't he reffing the Gold medal game? This is bad, just checking in and we are down 4-2. 2 days ago, after Colorado tied it 2-2 I already said, pull him for Ozzie. I hope to God it is Ozzie time and he plays lights out for us into the playoffs. If not, it's golfing time for 1/2 the team and go back home to Sweden time for long summer for the other 1/2.

I'm from Vancouver and I really want the Wings to silence this town. Luongo was adequate in the Olympics but he wasn't the god that people make him out to be. Babcock, now that you know his weakness ... shouldn't be that hard to pelt him with as many pucks as you can and show them why you're the coach.

Luongo was adequate to do the job just as Ozzie is adequate for Wings to win Cup. Let's just say that going into OT, I think Canadians as a whole were more nervous with Luongo in net after letting one in with 25 secs than Americans with Miller in net.

Nitti is the starter right now for TB ... his stats are far stronger than Mike Smith. No way TB trades him for Osgood. Folks, playoff experience is overrated, you can ride a hot young goalie and go pretty far ... look at Hiller.

We did good tonight, got a point from San Jose, the #1 team in the league. We took 3 games from them already, like I said earlier, not likely we were going to take 4 and sweep the series. So 7 out of a possible 8 with SJ ... I can live with that. Unlike the 1 pt from St. Louis which I was severly disappointed at, tonight, I can sleep well. Good effort. What can you do when opposing goalie stops 50 out of 52 shots? Go and get 2 from the Sens.
