This is just absolutely so pathetic that we have to watch scoreboard of other teams hoping that others lose so we can stay in the hunt. When was the last time we had to do this ?? 80's

Damn ... we've got San Jose and Ottawa next .. although we've owned SJ this year ... but realist in me says, they have to win 1 out of 4 with us ... No ??

Well, you win some and you lose some. Bertuzzi surprisingly was a good sign with 15G and 18A Williams (yes, with injury) but 3G and 5A Both for 1.5 mill ... bye bye ... Williams Any chance we can trade Rafalski for Phaneuf ... straight up, 1 for 1, 6 mill for 6 mill ... I know that damn NTC .

I am so not understanding this. We had so many of our top players on injured reserve ... didn't that bank any cap relief? Why do we have to ship off an active guy on our roster to give us some breathing room? At the rate we are going, why don't we do the Ray Bourque noble thing and ask Lidstrom if he wants to go to a contender to try to win one more cup ... Chicago, San Jose with Todd, Washington?

Just dawned on me that Stevie Y, Holland, and Babcock's got the weight of the world on them to win Gold in Vancouver. Almost at the expense of the Wings well being. Do you think they are giving left over energies to the Wings? -
You know how some of the players were rated throughout the season and by their performance, they were either selected or not to the Olympic team? I wonder if watching the coaches, Lemair and Ruff should be head coaches and Babcock, Hitchcock should be assistants. I think Stevie Y, Ken Holland and Babcock is thinking Olympics and not caring enough about the Wings this season. They must be thinking if they can win gold then it doesn't matter what happens here with the RW.

Toronto blew a 3 goal lead yesterday against New Jersey. We are playing like Toronto ... that's how pathetic this is. Send Ericssonn down already. Bring that Tollefsen up ... he couldn't be any worst.

+1. Calgary's gone 2-6-2 in their last 10. They reshuffled their whole roster and they are still in 8th spot. If we don't make it into the playoffs this year, you can look back on this stretch and remember this is the time that we didn't get it done. 8 CALGARY FLAMES 2-6-2 9 DETROIT RED WINGS 3-4-3

Just checking in. Don't know whether to be happy that we got a 1 pt or disappointed that we could have gotten 2. Looks like we got shell shocked and Howie stood tall again. What is the deal? It used to be us taking 40+ shots on opponents.

I know we can project points total all we want but theoretically, all we have to be is one point better than 9th. Even through this crappy week of 1 W, 2 L, 2 OTL ... we managed to take sole possession of 8th spot. I know it's not aiming high but we just have to outdo 9th-15th teams, but we all agree that making it to the playoffs will be a huge relief for all of us.

Damn ... just checking in and see that we lost in OT ... and they tied it with 2 goals in the last 2 minutes ??!! We can't keep on getting 1 pt here and there. Even though we took sole possession of 8th spot, we don't have much more time to turn this thing around.

Aren't we going to be bumped down to 9th? Calgary has more W's than us and same number of pts and games.
