Not sure if I agree with this. I know we need every point to keep in the hunt but we're going to burn the kid out. Away game, perfect time to let Ozzie have some time in goal. Not like we're going to win with either one of them ... I know pessimistic but realist.

Nonsense. Every team needs at least 2 goalies ... if we trade Ozzie, who do we have left ?? Larson ... I don't think so. At Ozzie's salary, 1.5 mill ... and Howie's $700K ... we've got a good thing going.

Give Howie a rest on Sat night and put Ozzie in. I'm afraid Babcock is going to burn him out. Cruel to feed Ozzie to the Sharks ... so to say but even with Howie in, I don't think our chances are great.

Just saw the highlights ... wow, an epic night for JH. Helm ... how does he not get 2nd star for the night ??!!

This game will make his stat go through the roof. He was already 8th overall in GAA and 6th in SV%. What a kid !!! Damn ... I just checked, his contract ends at the end of 2010-11 ... he's going to cost a pretty penny to keep!

Damn .. both Vancouver and LA won ... we must win to keep pace. Only good thing is Dallas lost. Maybe a bit too early to watch standings but it would be nice to be in the top 8!

We have got to win to keep up. It is getting harder and harder to move up in the standings. We were 6-3-1 in the last 10 and fell to 10th spot. What do you have to do from here on end ... play .700 hockey ??

I initially voted no but at 1/2 price on re-entry waiver ... maybe good to have some depth. But we might not be the only ones interested in him at 50% off boxing week sale price. It would be a good story if we picked him up on re-entry, meet Canucks in playoffs, and Schneider scores winning goal on PP to win series ...

Another JH convert here. The kid has earned my respect, he is a bright spot for the Wings this season. I am pleasantly surprised by his play and statistically, he is doing very well for a kid and gives us a chance to win on most nights. Honestly, you can't ask for anything more than that.

That's okay, Boston is 29th and they are 5th in the East. We'd be tied for 5th or 6th if we were in the East with 44 pts.

Something tells me that Lids is playing through some unspecified injury. This sudden drop of performance can't be attributed to one year older. He has always shown up and never known to be a guy who takes a night off so I am giving him the benefit of the doubt.
