This year's version of the Kings would not be much more of a fight for Anaheim. They ran out of gas against Edmonton down the stretch. Anaheim is playing possessed, down in the 3rd but find that extra gear to will the win. I wish our Wings had 1/2 of that heart and soul.

If the team played with as much effort and heart as TB and lost 4-1, I wouldn't be upset and I'd be optimistic. It is so obvious that we are outmatched in skill, sometimes that can be compensated with heart and hunger with a lucky bounce but not this group. Boston 2014 ... groundhog day.

Can someone check the rule book if it's possible to put 2 goalies in net and play with 4 skaters?

Babcock postgame: I liked our compete level, we got more shots on goal, that's something that we talked about. It's a race to 4, we got one, they got one ... that's hockey. We'll regroup and head back home and work on a couple more things and be ready to go.
