Time to use that recipe again, bring some guys up from GR who are young, energetic, and will hit anything that moves to get this team going.

Now I know you're high on something and not to take your posts seriously. Ask Chicago, Nashville, Anaheim, New York Rangers, Montreal, if they are interested in Babs this summer ... just to name a few.

I presented to you Bylsma who had the best and got fired. So it's very possible to have a good roster and still flop. If you eliminate those 2 gold medals, then Babs hasn't won anything for a long long time ... your logic doesn't make sense. Think about it. Again, let me just say again, Babs is a good coach. He is not the "best coach, period". This statement is what I'm debating.

2011 - 2nd round loss to San Jose 2012 - 1st round loss to Nashville 2013 - 2nd round loss to Chi 2014 - 1st round loss to Bos Babs is a good coach but he is not anywhere near the best coach 'period'. Sutter and Quennville might be the best coaches in the last 5 years. Yes, I know there will be teams lining up for him but personally, I think Babs is overrated. He is good but certainly not the best. When was the last time he won a Cup? Why throw $5m/yr to have him take you to round 1 or 2 ... plenty of coaches can do that for you. Bylsma got fired for that.

Right now, I think Babs stock is dropping like a 2 ton rock. One possibility since Pitts is doing so bad, they might can Johnson and entice Babs ... isn't that Babs dream job?

I hate that we are scoreboard watching and needing other teams to lose in order for us to be safe.

Great finish in the Tor and Ott game ... like I said, you just appreciate a good all around team effort. Right now, even Toronto is playing with more heart and effort than the Wings.

I don't even know what to say anymore, I'm shocked that some of you are not more up in arms because of the position the Wings find themselves in as of today with 3 games left. Only saving grace I just noticed is that Pitts has to play Ott in one of the three games remaining ... and both teams cannot get 2 points each. Watch it go into OT.

To those who keep on posting that fans don't deserve anything or fans are not entitled to anything, look ... when pro athletes win the championship, who are the first people that they thank or dedicate the trophy to? I have heard so many pro athletes speak of the fans and how they play for them. On the other side of the coin, from the pro athlete side, they seem to know the value of loyal fans, they appreciate the fans. Here is what fans are entitled to ... an honest effort every night that the players go out on the ice. You can reduce it to something as simple as that. Do they deserve a championship every year ... of course not, only one team wins that but fans who buy tickets, buy their merchandise, watch them on TV (and indirectly contribute to the mega TV deals to NHL) deserve a good effort every night. Believe me, I'm reasonable. If they put in an honest effort and lose, I'd understand. So the reason why this post was started was because it was obvious that over the last month, the team has not given their best effort every night ... not even close. And if we are dangerously close to falling out of a playoff spot. That is unacceptable given where they were at the beginning of March. The team needs to be held accountable ... not by some silly thread on a forum board but they need to know that they are not putting in an honest day's work and they need to work harder. So please stop with your 'fans don't deserve anything' high and mighty reprimands. Save it for when you go out to dinner, pay good money, and get crap on a plate. See if that mantra works in the real world.

Pens play Philly tomorrow, their achilles heel ... go Flyers. Then they play a desperate Ottawa team followed by NYI. They could be fighting for their playoff lives gainst us.

Damn ... hard time of year to have to go back to back. But both teams played an away game the night before so I guess it's pretty even.

I don't have a good feeling about tomorrow: Tor at Boston Det at Minnie Det and Boston tied at 93 pts right now. This game will really show whether we want this or not.

I suspect we go 3-2 or 2-3 and need to pray that Bos and Ott lose some along the way. Being in 9th is the worst spot to end up in ... and that's a very real possibility. Whether you're religious or not, we need this team to resurrect from the dead.

I appreciate the voice of reason, if you take a look at the bigger picture, it's been awesome being a follower of the Winged Wheel but I was thinking of this year in particular. And these last 2-3 weeks have been the most disappointing and frustrating of this year. So we limp into the playoffs and lose in round 1 again, have we progressed? We do have to take advantage of the blend of old and new players ... Z is losing it real fast. Dat's body is breaking down. While I didn't expect us to win the Cup this year, 2 rounds would be nice ... now just getting in to the dance would be nice.
