Didn't watch the game but Howard's stats so far is 5-5-5 ... with a 2.67 GAA and .910 SV% This ain't going to cut it no matter how you explain it. Gus is 3-0-0 with 2.13, .937 ... without stating the obvious ... same group of players in front of him as Howie Time to rest Howie and give the Monster a few games.

With the addition of one year experience, Alfie, Weiss, and playing in the easy East ... we should be better than just 4 pts difference than last year. I'm shocked that we're the only team in the top 5-6 ranking conference that has a NEGATIVE goal differential. And we've been carrying that for a while, to my memory. I know, it's only 17 games in but there signs to be concerned about.

It is so frustrating to have a mediocre team. Does anyone know how we're doing compared to last year at this stage. Just wondering if we'll have to win the last 8 games of the season to make it into the playoffs again.

I'm still pissed off about last night's lost! Just saying.

As much as there is blame to the coaching, I think one of the problems is that there are too many games in the regular season schedule and hard to motivate players to go hard every single time. Bring it down to like 60'ish games and players will know that each game counts for more. This also gives them more rest in between and hope they play hard on most nights. But nights like these, if I went to game as a paying customer, I'd consider it money flushed down the toilet. I'd be pissed.
