I'm with the 'No to Kesler' camp. He is fragile, erratic, arrogant, and a diver. He apparently has a 'beast' mode but it only came out in game 2 ... was pretty silent in game 3 and 4. No thanks.

Kassian would love to play with his hero Bert for a year ... or maybe we can dump Bert to Vancouver for something in return?

I assumed Kesler and the twins would be untouchable. Really? I don't think I would. I want Dats to retire a Red Wing ... couldn't handle seeing him in another uniform. I'd try to get him to sign a short extension 2-3 years if he wants to play a little longer. But even if we don't get a single thing back for not trading him if he decides to retire in 2014, I still wouldn't pull the trigger on him. He is too fun to watch.

Proud that they took it to 7. Regardless, this is great experience for the younger core. Now win this and the ride will keep on going ... 60 mins of solid play, no brain farts and we can have BBQ Duck for dinner. -
Valiant attempt for a #8 seeded team. Gave them a good run and exposed their weakness in goal. Isles ... you did good, no one even expected you to make it in.

I'm wondering if there are any pickings from the Canucks carcass ... Edler? Can we bring him to top 4 status with our structure and group of Dman? No way they let Hamhuis go, he was one of their best players. I'd take Burrows. Not sure if I want anyone else on that pansy team. Maybe Kassian so he can play with his hero Bert ... maybe we can turn him into a Bert 2.0.

Thornton was a genius in saying this ... playing mind games with the Canucks organization. Doesn't really matter who they put in there, as long as SJ scores 2 goals or more, they can be pretty sure of a win because Canucks can't seem to score more than 1.

We need to win this one or else series is over. Down 3-1 going back to Anaheim is not a good position to be in. I'm sure they know that but with Helm, DeKeyser, Abby all out ... we've got to dig deep. -
When the Wings lose, the only thing that consoles me is to see the Canucks fail and do worst. So far, they are helping.
