How hard is Stevie Y kicking himself for letting Smith go ... and now he has to hunt down a bonafide goalie. Having said that, who would have guessed that he kicked it up a gear like he has this year. Very impressive with Pho, just checked their roster, no one makes over $4.75 mill whereas LA has 4 players making $6 mill or more. -

Bonus if anyone can rub Weber's head into the boards, maybe Torres should have done in that last game of his. -
This is the consolation Cup for those who got eliminated or didn't make it to playoffs. So many big name stars in the US vs. Canada game ... better than any of the remaining NHL playoff games.

Just read the Kyle Quincey will be joining the Canadian team ... as a Canadian, I'm not sure how I should feel about this.

Mind boggling, looks like LA vs. Pho for the Western Conference Finals. A 95pt team vs. 97 pt team. Who would have predicted that the finalists would come from the Pacific division? -
Was MacLean that good when he was with us? He got the nod before McLelland. I agree, Tippet should have at least received nomination. Hitch gets the award because it was voted on before playoffs.

Yah, surprised that NY can score on this guy but maybe they have emotional letdown after taking out Boston, already surpassed anyone's expectation. That or NY coaches now have film on the guy to come up with plan. Only first game, I picked Washington to upset NY. Yes, I believe you have to pay 25 games in a season in order to remove rookie season tag. -
I think the first litmus test is whether Lidstrom comes back or not. Whether he does or not says a lot about Holland's vision and plan for next year. If Lids feel inspired to come back for one more ... we can all have faith. But if after hearing from Kenny, even Lids doesn't believe in it and retires then we're likely to see a few years of drought coming. Lidstrom's decision is the first litmus test.

I didn't think NY looked that strong in the 1st round. None of their stars really stepped up. If Washington plays like they did in 1st round, they will beat NY in 6.
