Dallas fails on another crucial late season game
RedWingsRox replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Don't look now but there is a barn burner going on between LA and SJS. LA leading 3-1 at one point. SJ ties it at 3-3. Then 4-4 with 12 mins left in the 3rd. SJ 5 .. LA 4, wow what a game !! Quick let 5 goals in ... not like him to. LA ties it with 3:31 on a 5-3 PP. Looks like playoffs have started for these 2 teams. Weirdest play ever .. a SJ player on the bench stuck his stick out onto the ice & touched the puck. No penalty called ???? Going to a shootout to settle this. -
If this was true, they would have rocked it tonight to secure 4th ... they didn't. What is your faith based on?
-
No need for a new thread, much discussed in others.
-
This season is becoming a tragicomedy for the Wings. One point, we were talking about #1 in the West and now look at us.
-
Since we play first, I suggest we throw the game and end in 6th. If that happens, Nashville sends out the AHL team to rest their players.
-
Nashville is NOT going to lose to Colorado with 4th on the line. I mean it can happen but they are not going to lose it.
-
Well, your Sat is now stress free ... nothing can change the order now.
-
Minny wins in shootout. Damn ... we're in 5th. Chicago knew exactly what they were doing and tanked the shootout.
-
Kane tried one of his slow moves with 30 dekes and then didn't try very hard to score ... I think the Hawks know. Sharp really tried not to score ... haha. So obvious.
-
You would think the Hawks know this and would try to lose. The chances of them getting 4th is like next to nil.
-
A more likely scenario: Chicago wins tonight. Nashville wins their final game. We lose to Chicago and we end up in 6th. Seriously.
-
Now we've got to lose to Chicago in the final game but at the way they are playing, the Wings won't have to fake anything.
-
Well, I think now we know what the Wings are made of. Everyone was jizzing themselves last night ... but they haven't proven sh*t. Let's just face it, we have what we have ... a 5th or 6th place team that will probably go out in 1 round.
-
Where the hell did the home arena magic go ????
-
Damn ...
-
Let's see some of that Dats, Bert, Franzen magic again.
-
Mutha .... we were being outplayed in the 3rd.
-
C'mon, let's close this out and get the 2pts.
-
I hope this one won't be a let down and all the players are still glowing from last night's win. We haven't locked up #4 spot yet so let's get some consistency going and win the next 2 going into the playoffs, then I'll start to feel a bit more confident.

League takeover of cash-strapped Devils may be inevitable
RedWingsRox replied to edicius's topic in General
Damn ... this is the NJ Devils, they've had some success in the past and they still can't pay their bills? Time for league to shrink down by 2 teams and have a loot (I mean draft) of their players. -
That game was a microcosm of their season. Get out to 3-0 lead, couldn't hold on to a 2 goal lead 1/2 way into the 3rd, then the wheels fall off the bus and into the cliff.
-
I'm actually cheering for Buffalo over Washington.
-
St. Louis has nothing to play for, hopefully, Hitchcock will do Babcock a 'favour' and sit a few of their top guys for maintenance days. Must win. If not, must lose to Chicago.
-
This happens almost every single year to at least one side of the conference, it's just that this year the discrepancy is very pronounced. 2011 - Boston got 3rd seeding when they should have been 4th or 5th 2010 - Buffalo got 3rd when they should have been 4th, Van got 3rd when they should have been 4th 2009 - Van got 3rd when they should have been 4th 2008 - Wash got 3rd when they should have been 6th, Minnesota got 3rd when they should be 4th etc. etc. I think when the seeding is 1 off, nobody cared but when the difference is between 3rd or 7th ... it really stands out.

This is how Bylsma should have responded:
