Only for 18 games to have an experienced backup goalie since he can't be even play for the playoffs. Correct me if I'm wrong but from last year, only teams below Boston could 'Garth Snow' Turco from waivers.

I just looked at the standings this morning. Van 66 GP 90 pts St. Louis 66 GP 89 pts Det - 65 GP, 89 pts Don't you mean we're in the driver's seat? Meaning, we're in control of our own destiny, if we win, we take 1st place in the West. Having said all this about Pres Trophy (in other thread) have we forgotten about the Eastern Conference? The Rangers got 2-3 games on the top Western teams and if played out, can easily take 1st place overall.

Having said that, if Seguin actually ended up in a Leafs uniform, I sincerely doubt he'd be putting up those numbers because: 1. Seguin has some pretty good players to skate with in Boston. 2. Toronto doesn't know how to grow and mature young talent (eg. Schenn, Kadri, etc.)

Burke just blew $1 mill or more, whatever his one year extension was to his buddy Wilson. Stupid of him to give him extension before Christmas when he hasn't done anything. Having said that, there are so many ex-coaches still living on their contract pay and then get a new job. Does this mean that Carlyle he is getting paid both by Anaheim (whatever his contract was) and Leafs?

Easy ... the Toronto Maple Laughs. Technically, it's only the Panthers that need to get in, the Thrashers aka Winnipeg Jets have made it into the playoffs once already. -
Who should we cheer for to win tonight? St. Louis or Vancouver? I'd have to say Van so that we can have a better chance of winning the Central.

President not that important. What I think is pretty important is winning the Central. If you don't win Central, you'll most likely have to face #5, right now it is the reloaded Nashville Predators who wants it all.

That is if Wilson makes it to the next home game ... I suspect he will be turfed as the sacrificial goat. Well, at least his buddy Burkie gave him a going away present by giving him an extension over Christmas.

They are all 'squeezing their sticks a bit too tight' so to say. At one time Schenn was untouchable like their so call untouchable now, Gardiner. What one year can do. I suspect if they have another poor showing like they did last night against Chicago, Ron can start vacating his office after the game when they get back to Toronto. No need to wait till you have a chance to meet with Burke.

Only because I have some genuine friends who live in Toronto. My pity are for them. Having said that, I did notice that the Laughs are tanking a bit early this year. As you described, they usually tease their fans a bit later toward the end with like 10 games left.
