Always a dilemma. Nice to receive the recognition but selfishly, you want your own players rested esp guys like Datsyuk and Lidstrom and Jimmy (who is a workhorse). 99.9% sure that Lidstrom declined and NHL honored his request. I think it is a lack of compete in some of our guys. A number of them are nearing the end of their career, an NHL season is long with a lot of travel. Not much different than you and me mailing it in some days at work. Not an excuse but just an observation and a dose of reality. The mind and will is such an important part of the game because many teams are very close in terms of skill level and even if the skill level is dramatically different (like Wings and Islanders), if you mail it in there is enough on the other side to put some pucks in the net and get a win. I'm fine with not winning the President's trophy and going into the playoffs in 3rd, 4th, or 5th place but I sure hope they have enough in the tank to turn it on and not get themselves down 3-0 like last year.

Damn ... wasted opportunity. Conks is good for one game and sit for 20 ... bring Joey Mac up pleeze.

Wow ... I'm impressed. Was out, heard that we were down 2-1 for a large part of the game and then find out we won in OT ... pleasantly surprised and shocked. Conklin impressed !!

Just got back from game. The Canucks got a few lucky bounces, we had none. Luongo was sharp ... we had a few boneheaded plays that resulted in early goals. That hit on Kesler was dope ... Can't win them all. Still awesome to see them live.
