How many Czechs would we have if we went after Kaberle? Do you think Hudler would play better if he had a friend from the homeland? Just 'checked' - Tatar, Kindl, and Hudler. Kaberle is pretty good in regular season, this was his first post-season so hopefully with some vets around him and that year of experience, he'll do better. Let's go after him.

Columbus picked up Carter and Wiz so they may move up from 13th to 8th but we do play them a helluva lot during the season and if I recall, for some reason, they have our number. At first I was disappointed cuz I thought with Ralfalski retiring, we could pony up 5.5 for 6 but now that I hear he is a spoilted entitled rat ... glad we didn't get him.

I think it's the we got Ralfalski's $6M to spend and all we can get is someone else's dirty seconds. No half decent Dman, no attempt to trade a 4th or 5th round pick for rights to Wiz, Erhoff, etc. and all we have to show for today is Commodore ??!!

Commodore was only making $1.4M in CB and he got bought out. Why the hell would you offer him another $1M, that's like giving a reject player a raise ... so he gets the buyout money and now a $1M from us ??!! Damn ... if only Stevie Y was still around, he would have prevented this stupidity.

1/2 way stuck ... c'mon, Howard at $2M/yr, Ericsson at $3.25 ... Ericcson's defence will have to make Howard work that much more harder. If the numbers were switched between Howard and Ericcson, I wouldn't be as upset. -
