Wow, I couldn't believe this until I looked it up. 5 out of the 8 goalies are less than a mill per season: Howie - $750K Niemi - $825K (but they got $5.5 mill in their backup ) Rask - $750K (another $6 mill goalie as backup ) Boucher - $925K Halak - $800K Luongo - $7.5 mill Nabokov -$6 mill Fleury - $3.5 mill

Since the Sharks have pretty well given up. Can we start scoring and save them for next couple of games ?

Wow ... just wow. Why don't the boys put it in this gear in games 1-3? Only today and game 7 with Phoenix do they play like this.

Wow, the poll is about 50-50, I voted keep Ozzie out. First, he is so cold that he may let the first 4 shots in and it may look bad on him. How can you start a playoff game after not playing for 2 months? Let Howie finish it up. If we lose, we lose. In the bigger picture, think everyone is generally satisfied that we got this far. Don't mess around with Howard's psyche cuz that would put the blame for the loss of this series squarely on him. He could have been better but this is a rookie and he probably is going as far as any rookie may go. Would have been nicer if we took it to 6 or another 7 but that might still happen yet.

I agree with OP. To make it to 2nd round is what I thought would be a good salvage to being in 9th place for the first 65-70 games of the season. Of course, I'm sad but nothing even remotely closed to last year's loss.

Please don't get swept ... Howie could use a few more games to learn and pick up playoff experience. I don't think we can expect much more from him, he is stellar at times and then it looks like he loses concentration at others, even if it is for a split second. He's young, he's got to learn, all rookie goalies do.

Gary Bettman can't possibly hate us that much ... ie. refs can't be that bad 2 games in a row. We come out desperate like game 7 in Phoenix and win convincingly 5-1.
