+1 ... since the Olympic break, we've had to play like playoff mode to get in and Howie seems to be doing okay with the pressure. I know it will step up another notch but good to see Howie respond. Don't worry, he's got Ozzie mentoring him throughout the playoffs.

Okay ... I think the experiment failed and we have our answer. Huet was 15 for 20, got pulled in the 2nd period with score at 5-1.

SI should stick to football and swim suits. As much as I love the Wings, they should NOT be 3rd in anyone's power ranking.

Q will probably go with Niemi in net for playoffs. Chicago is nowhere near desperation time, why not make sure your backup is warm by giving him a game to see if he can get both Niemi and Huet are playing well ... if Detroit had that luxury, most of us would want to see Ozzie get a game in.

'Win it all' ... let's not get carried away here. I can't speak for the rest of the folks here but if we get in and go 2 rounds, I'd say that was a good salvage to a horrible season.
