Helm and Draper are both centres. Zatta Flip Helm Drapes four centres there. Abdelgator is a centre too.
-
He wants more than 5 million from what TSN said earlier.
-
That's an unfortunate destination. I knew he wouldn't be back but seeing him move within the division kinda sucks.

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=283345 Five year deal, $6.6 million a year.
-
Didn't you say that Huddles was bouncing his ass up and down during that shootout?
-
Agreed. We have a number that we can't exceed for him or for anyone else, for that matter. If he isn't willing to play for that number, then there's no point wasting time.
-
As far as I understand it, teams aren't allowed to negotiate (officially) with a free agent until July 1st, and obviously they can't tender an actual contract offer. The negotiation rights belong to the team the player played for last, and that team has the right to trade that privilege away to whomever they choose for whatever they want.
-
I'm glad we don't have to play against him as much any more. Apart from that, whatever; I'm not about to say that I want Pronger to cheapshot Crosby or Malkin. If Pens fans had been saying they wanted Pronger to hurt Pavel or Hank, we would have been all over them. Let's at least try to maintain some kind of behavioural standards, eh?
-
"A" gritty forward? That's nine forwards listed there, people. It's gonna take more than Mike Knuble or Chad LaRose to reach a team you can put on the ice, unless of course you are Mike Keenan.

Congratulations to your team for a great finals series
ComradeWasabi replied to BewareThePenguin's topic in General
Get the f*** out of here. A select few of you Pens fans were people I wouldn't mind watching a hockey game with, but most of you simply trolled this forum incessantly for two weeks while the finals were on. I have no kind words for you. To the Pens fans who were classy enough not to talk trash and instead simply enjoy a great series and root for their team, congratulations. To the rest of you, kindly leave. -
Considering how poorly our stars played for most of the playoffs, with the notable exception of Z and at times Mule, I would have to say bring on the role-players.
-
The cap space simply isn't there, guys, and even if it was, I don't believe Holland would like to be flush against the cap again. He might sign a veteran defenseman or Dallas Drake-type, but that's the extent of the new players coming in I expect this summer.
-
This has nothing to do with players signing for less. He's already locked up to a contract, a lucrative contract, one that has him at a what, $7.5mil cap hit or so? Not only is that salary outside our price range, but Ottawa is going to want something in return- someone out there will be willing to give up big value for Heatley (Edmonton) so there's simply no way Bryan Murray is going to send him away for cheap. If he was a free agent, this may be more within the realm of possibility; however, as a trade, with a contract already in place, this is simply not going to happen.

He, like everyone else on Detroit, had trouble getting to the net. Unfortunately, that's where he makes his living (he is far from a perimeter player like a Hossa or a Thornton) so he had an especially hard time getting much done.
-
Actually, as I recall, someone posted a story of meeting Hossa, Kopecky and I think Hudler at a bar and Hossa debunked that rumour. Besides, if those two go together like the Sedins do, Detroit is out.
-
Meh, we both won once. We're even, they just won most recently.
-
Your team won games 6 and 7 fair and square, no bulls***. You outplayed us in the two most critical games of the year and you earned a Stanley Cup despite whatever some may say about Bettman, Crosby or officiating conspiracies. I trust that the classier of you will make your voices heard instead of the trash-talkers that were here throughout most of the series. In any case, your team earned it. Congratulations. edit: hey look, my thread is 13 minutes late. I dunno how I missed that other one... embarassing.

Series are not lost on the fortunes of one player or two, unless that player is a goalie.
-
Losing, unfortunately. As far as the on-ice play, the thing that has stuck out the most to me is the left-wing power-play move they have. Usually Pav will take it on the left-wing side boards, pass back to the point man (almost always Nick) who shifts over to the middle and draws the defender out making the PK shape a diamond. Pav then comes off and settles back just above the point almost at the top of the left circle and fires it on net. He scored probably 3 goals himself on that move this season. I have no idea why that sticks with me, but I think I just saw the play so many times this year that it's engrained in my brain.
-
I'm not that disappointed for a few reasons 1) we just won last year. 2) Pittsburgh outplayed us fair and square for honestly a lot of that series. 3) Bylsma is someone I can be a fan of. 4) I didn't watch the last 30 seconds, didn't hear the end, didn't see any of the presentation or hear any postgame interviews so I have no visual or audio memory of the moment we lost. 5) The Wings were half-assed and unmotivated all year and they didn't really deserve to win it, I don't think. Most talented team, almost certainly, but not the hardest-working by a long shot.

Now that's the kind of post I like to see.

Ozzie was there when nobody but Hank was. Thanks for proving a lot of people wrong Oz, keep 'er goin next year.
-
Give some love to Crown Prince Zetterberg - 100% effort, all the time
ComradeWasabi replied to go19wings's topic in General
Z put 110% in every single night of the playoffs, a claim that nobody else except Ozzy can make. -
Don't get me wrong, I'd love for this prediction to come true, but..... really? Come on.
