I guess I forgot to mention that Carlyle could have gotten Getzlaf a maximum of 7 minutes against Helm. My point was that any of our top three lines have the capability to contain Getzlaf, although seeing Hudler and Samuelsson line up against Perry and Ryan isn't exactly confidence-inspiring.
-
The good thing is that if Getzlaf plays 28 minutes and our fourth line plays 7, then that's 21 minutes Getzlaf is playing against Pavel, Hank or Flip. Not exactly a great offensive upside there. Besides, our fourth line isn't exactly a shutdown line but it's certainly defensively responsible. There simply isn't really a defensive weakness in any of our forward lines so Getzlaf needs to play 25+ minutes in order to produce like Anaheim will need him to.

Will Shanahan or Fedorov Retire in the Offseason?

Seeing that Feds goal certainly got me nostalgic. It's too bad that he's lost most, if not all of his skating speed. -
The Ducks don't sell their arena out either, so the can shut the f*** up about that.
-
Getzlaf is one of the few Ducks that I don't mind. The guy is a legitimate strong talent and although he plays rough-and-tumble hockey like the rest of the Ducks, he's infinitely more respectable than Katy Perry over on his wing.

TSN is where it's at. Their Sportscentre schedule annoys me (seriously, nothing on until 2am? come on) but their hockey broadcasting is my favourite of any broadcasters, local or national.

Buddy just gave up six goals on 25 shots to lose to Windsor 10-1. I figured Brampton would lose this one but dang.
-
If I'm not mistaken, he sustained his concussion on February 27th, meaning he's past two months without any physical activity. He's done for the year, I'm almost certain.

Wow, what the f***. That is really unbelievable.

WOW!!!!! Marty wants that one back for sure. Jeeeeeez.

Why are you bothering to come here and troll? There's no point in saying that Corey Perry is going to intimidate the Red Wings, as none of us really can tell how effectively either team will be intimidated. You haven't produced a single scrap of evidence for why the Ducks will beat the Wings in a seven-game series and at this point all you are doing is spewing nonsense and picking fights over trivial comments. Come back when you are ready to discuss hockey maturely instead of deciding to hurl foolish insults.

OP mixed up saying stuff he agreed with and didn't agree with. 1. MYTH: Calgary is a playoff team FACT: Calgary has exited four years running in round one 2. MYTH: San Jose was the best team in the NHL this year and McLellan had the experience to win them a Cup. FACT: McLellan suffered like most rookie head coaches do. 3. MYTH: Anaheim's defense is the best in the NHL. FACT: They were porous in the first round, allowing a lot of shots. Just to clarify that post... I hope I got all that right.

I'd imagine it will be Hank versus Getzlaf. Pavel and Hoss will probably end up running all over Ebbett, Miller, Carter and whoever else Carlyle decides will make up a second "scoring" line.
-
If Avery knew when to just play the damn game they'd be pretty comparable, I agree, although perhaps Avery isn't quite as dirty as Perry is.

I didn't know that the party was in the Sharks penalty box. Looks like fun in there.

This is going to be a good game for sure

This looks like it could be a chippy game.

GETZLAF AND THORNTON fighting right off the opening faceoff!! Can't imagine either coach is thrilled about that, but they were jawing for the whole game on Saturday.
-
wait, he's still doing that? I thought that was a one-time thing from last season.
-
Hawks and...... I can't even call the other game.
-
Dammit!!! That's the third time I've missed the GR crew here in Hamilton.
-
At the moment, we have nine possible top six forwards fighting for those minutes. It's just a question of which line is especially effective on any given night, as we've seen it can be any or all of them in that Columbus series.

I doubt it. Between the holdout and the way that him and the Red Wings parted ways, I don't see it happening. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.
