The Red Wings currently have the better win percentage and their goal differential is 2 better than San Jose's. Talk about a close race. This could quite literally come down to a single goal against to determine the President's Trophy.

Steve Mason is a huge asset to my fantasy roster. That's all I have to say.

As I recall, Pav and Z have had themselves quite a few points while together. Both are productive when playing with other linemates (Pavel especially) but they are probably moreso together. The same can be said for Malkin and Crosby. Offensively, I don't think there's any question that Malkin and Crosby have the ability to put up more points because they get more ice time in more offensive situations and neither are committed to defense. If Pav and Z weren't defensively responsible and played comparable minutes I think they could put up similar numbers to Malkin and Crosby. Until that happens, Malkin and Crosby are the superior offensive players simply because that's all they need to focus on.

Totally worth it.

The flaw in your logic is revealed. Seriously though, the PA does exactly what Shoreline says. They have the players' financial security at heart, and they protect it aggressively. That means that someone like Glenn Healy gets to bite all the ankles he wants.

The type of penalties called would be interesting. If there's anything besides lazy stuff like hooking tripping etc. then I'd be surprised. Traveling sucks and I think it's safe to say you usually are not as quick on the road as at home.

TonyDanza has some misguided views about the cap and Bouwmeester's intentions, but that's really beside the point. Kronwall-Stuart is bad. They have more bad nights than good ones, especially Stuart. Lidstrom-Kronwall and Stuart-Raffi seems more reliable to me.

Everyone's game is lifted by playing with Datsyuk. Besides Old Saint Nick, easily the most consistent player on the Wings. If you asked, I would certainly rank him above Zatta as well.

Well, I certainly WISH it had been 0-0 going into the third. I think tonight was an anomaly (at least I hope so). Ozzie's been good enough in the last few that he can be forgiven for tonight.

The Wings weren't very good tonight (and I watched every single second of the game with a TV screen 18 inches in front of my place on an airplane) but let's be realistic here; if Osgood was on form tonight, it's probably 0-0 going into the third period. He's been great the last four or five games excluding tonight but he s*** the bed. It was painful for me to watch and he most certainly deserved to be pulled after that third goal. That being said, he didn't come back out after going to the room; any news from Ken or Mick about a possible injury? In case anybody is going to jump down my throat, I am not saying "waive Osbad!!!!!" or anything like that. He had a bad game. It happens. I just needed to vent after sitting on an airplane and unfortunately having a Flames fan taunt me as I was getting off. Damn Calgary flights.
