If that's not a bulls*** story then that is really awesome. Lucky bastard.
-
I think that's an apocryphal story. Babs denied saying anything, but then I get the feeling that's the kind of thing you would want private anyways. Anyways, the rest of your post is true enough; Hossa was a target all of last season but it just didn't happen until the offseason.

Flames-Flyers for me. Should be a good game.
-
If you've been on this site for years you shouldn't have been surprised by the community's reaction to people like yourself.
-
f*** yeah.
-
If Kopecky plays like this on a regular basis I will be 110% thrilled by his play. Really. I've loved him in the last few games since his newest child was born (Minnesota and onward).
-
Seriously, this Kopecky guy has got to be an impostor. Those were some excellent hands. Also Franzen score.
-
He didn't even say score, it was just an awkward silence.
-
WTF. The guy literally did not even say the word "score". It's theeeeeeeeeere...... silence.
-
Raffi on the PK. There's something you don't see every day.
-
That's a pretty good idea, I'm probably going to look into that actually.
-
I love that commercial.
-
lol @ the commentator again Shot- ooOooOOooOOoOO edit: haha another one, back heeeeeander
-
Also, this Avalanche play-by-play guy is an incredible homer. SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHN MICHAEL LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILES
-
Why do the Avs just have our number so badly this year? Jesus f***.
-
Typical back-to-back. I don't have very high expectations for this one to be honest. Surprise me, Red Wings.

Phoenix Coyotes -- Worst organization in sports
ComradeWasabi replied to RedLightGoesOn's topic in General
I think both Toronto and Phoenix did well for themselves. Toronto picked up a couple of solid picks for Antropov and Moore, which is exactly what they were looking for, and Phoenix certainly managed to retool its forward corps. -
I like Jonesy. Pierre is a prick but even he grew on me after watching 8 and a half hours of TradeCentre today.
-
Yeah, but him and Clement were partners IIRC. Despite whatever he says about the Wings, that goal still counts
-
f*** him.. "the goal counts!! the goal counts!! the goal counts!!"
-
Burke probably does not want to throw him under the bus and put a lot of media scrutiny on him in the final eight weeks of the season. Expect Toskala-Pogge next year, probably in tandem. Don't quote me on that, though.

Okay, the trade there makes sense now. Looks like Toronto is taking players from Tampa because Tampa needs to clear cap space. Petiot was coincidental to the deal to make it a "legal" hockey trade. The three players Toronto receives are essentially worthless, but they get a 4th-rounder for their trouble. Also, Ales Kotalik from Buffalo to Edmonton.
-
He made a jab about long-term contracts and said people would regret signing those after 2010-11. Also, what the f*** is with the trade onscreen now? Olaf Kolzig, Jamie Heward, Andy Rogers and a fourth-rounder (TB to TOR) for Richard Petiot (TOR to TB).

Phoenix Coyotes -- Worst organization in sports

Tampa Bay is way, way, way worse than Phoenix. Seriously, they ended up ditching Dan Boyle for Noah Welsh and a 3rd round pick, and it took them 3 other trades to get there. -
New York has to have gotten a pick in there somewhere that hasn't been reported. Also, Dominic Moore is gone from TO.
