WTF happened there?
-
What a blast! Jesus!

SAMMY JUST HELD THE PUCK IN AT THE LINE ON THE POWERPLAY. PUT IT ON THE CALENDAR.
-
Haha, Ville Leino apparently pulled a Happy Huds with the helmet going.
-
Hossa is ******* fast.
-
I'm just going to say it: Brad Boyes must be atrocious defensively to have a +/- that bad with so many goals scored.
-
I remember seeing his game-tying goal against San Jose. It took him about 12 seconds to wind up the wrister but it went right through Nabby. Now that he's out of Detroit and I don't have to hate him for being lazy, I like him, and I hope his career doesn't end over this.

Tomas Kopecky
-
I hope Lang is alright, honestly.
-
I bet that after that happened, someone at NHL Headquarters in Toronto had to quickly run and edit the rulebook and upload it as soon as possible.

Should the Red Wings Fire Assistant Coach Brad McCrimmon?

If it was McCrimmon's fault that the defense was faltering so badly, Babcock would have done something about it. -
Should the Red Wings Fire Assistant Coach Brad McCrimmon?

I don't foresee this happening. Call me crazy. -
His mistakes have been markedly less frequent this season. I can't think of a single horrible Lilja gaffe thus far, though I"m sure someone will correct me on that score.
-
I don't foresee Hudler making 4 million here or elsewhere. As an RFA, it's unlikely that he will get an offer sheet that large; and keep in mind that last year, in a much better economic climate for the sport AND in a time when the Wings' cap situation was much better, Dan Cleary only got what, 2.2 million? True enough, he had fewer points, but he has a much greater defensive upside. Honestly, with the place the Wings are in relation to the cap now and the future of where the cap is in question, I would be very much surprised if Hudler got more than 3 million.
-
Lilja has been possibly the most consistent force on the blueline, given Nick's nagging elbow problems. Obviously Nick still ranks higher but Lilja is having a fantastic year so far. His plus/minus statistic is particularly telling because he usually scores so little. Very few goals for, but even fewer goals against. An uncommon theme on this team this year.

His move to score was great.
-
This man speaks truth. 3 games already.
-
And Hossa turned him down because it wasn't for enough money. Coming into this season I was totally expecting Hossa to come, play for one season and then go elsewhere. My expectations haven't changed one bit. If he takes a big pay cut to stay, then bravo: otherwise, I would rather keep Franzen and Hudler.
-
Is that actually him in the picture?
-
Oh, for f***'S SAKES.
-
God dammit.
-
I need a Lidstrom, Osgood and Hasek before I get a Hossa.
-
Dan O'Halloran has made ALL of those interference calls, all of them on Tomas Holmstrom, over the last year or so. I couldn't say for sure but I don't think there has been a single other call any other referee has made under the same circumstances (Homer's butt being in the crease). Other goalie interference calls? Sure. Waved off goals because Homer was allegedly interfering with the goalie? I don't think so.
-
I give him a little more credit than it sounds like you do, but I think Osgood has had plenty of time to show that he is the same goalie he was last year and it is painfully obvious that he has failed to do so. Regardless of the quality or quantity of the scoring chances we give up, he simply has to be better.

Holy f***, that first Dallas video just pissed me right off. The Anaheim one is possibly marginal, and Pittsburgh one is ridiculous, but that Dallas one from last year was absolutely ******* atrocious. O'Halloran has it out for Holmstrom. edit: that Wikipedia page was totally immature but it made me feel 150% better. lol
