The only way this playoff is of any benefit is if the kids get a ton of playing time. If I see Jurco or Andersson in any game (barring injury) it's a waste and I'll jump on the "Fire Blashill) bandwagon.

Not true at all. We were blindsided with the retirement of Rafalski and Chelios and Lidstrom as well at Stuart's move out West. Why would you expect a GM to find replacements in 5 years? That's just too little time. Yes....I'm being sarcastic.

I think most people would even argue against Smith being THAT much better. The point was almost every player on our team is having a worse year than last. Nyquist Tatar Sheehan Glending Kronner Ericsson DK (only because he was so good last year) Z Dats (probably because of the surgery and age) Helm Abby You would think in a system where Blashill makes a commitment to each player to help them have their best personal season that SOMEONE would standout. However, this was a strong argument FOR keeping Babs since he seemed to get the most out of everybody. The point being, maybe the Ceiling for all our guys has already been reached. I honestly don't know but I'm sure it's a bit of a combination of mediocre players and a bit of a setback in coaching.

I agree. He references those three series in almost every interview. I 100% believe HE believes his own crap.

Here's the problem with Holland and the mind job he's done on the IIllich family. Holland points to the fact that this team is REALLY close because we had Chicago, Anaheim and TB "beat" in our playoff series against them. If you couple this idea with the parity in the league you see how he has convinced everybody.

I'm very rarely right but I desperately wanted us to be sellers at the deadline getting rid of Nyquist Kronwall and Ericsson. If only.
