This game will be a tough test. Even though the Flames are slumping right now, we cannot call the Wings play good right now. Good thing is that Conklin is spectacular in JLA while the Flames are struggling in JLA. Stop playing lazy hockey and being angry against the Flames. The way to win is not a talent but it is an effort and passion for the win. Go Hockeytown

I think it is a good point to compare Conklin's Home stats and road stats; his home stats are far better than the road stats. It will be great to start Conklin against the Flames because the Flames are not like Coyotes, they are pretty decent teams. Also, our last two meetings against the Flames, Conklin started and won all 2 games. However, further in the playoff, there is hell no possibility that we are gonna rotate two goalies during the playoff. To win the Stanley cup, there are 16 wins. It is not like a regular season, playoff is a fight of momentum. If Conklin gets hot on the playoff, there is no reason we put Osgood in net on the road games. While people say Conklin's road number is not good, Osgood's stats is even worse even though Osgood is better on the road than the home as stats. Two shutouts on the road is very fine and I am happy with that. If you see the schedule, there is not much time left for the playoff. Almost only one month left and approximately only around 15 games are left. I think Babcock realized that Conklin is playing far better than Osgood this season. At this moment, this is not a time to test which goalie will be our starting goalie because all other playoff teams are starting to build a confidence on their number one goalie. I think Conklin has to start most of games left for us. You realize when there is PK time, if Osgood is in the net, I never felt comfortable and guessed it would go in, what happened? Realization of the guessing. Stop saying Osgood has more exprience. Experience should be chemistry with the effort and the performance. According to people's logic, we have to start Osgood along the playoff exprience. Then, here is my answer. Start Terry Sawchuk.

I think our offenses are waking up a bit more. Filppula is having a better period than before and when Homer is fine to be back on the first line, it can be ZDH line. Hossa will be back soon so let's play better.

Win is a win but overall, this game was such a crap. We let two goals in but that's not a big point of tonight. We still made a lot of turnover. Even though Conklin was not supreme, he was enough to win and we won. Also good to see both Zetterberg and Datsyuk are put together back and produced points for each. Let's have a way better game against the Flames

I don't think it is a confidence problem. We are just being lazy. I knew it would be tough to play like exactly as last regular season because there would be a cup hangover. I think Filp is improving and Mule is playing enough good. Disappointment is on some defenses and Osgood. If we knew Osgood would be this crap, we had to make a deal on goalie and that was Conklin who is playing enough good. I know this team is a veteran team and very good at turning around the momentum of the season. However, because we were just plain awesome from the beginning to the end of last season, it just seemed to make people disappoint in the Wings play too much. Answer must be the time right now. Personally, this coming playoff will be way harder than last season's playoff. It is an obscure answer but that is the only answer I think

The only good thing is our PK is good when Conks is in the net. That's pretty much we can accept with a good mind from this game.

I am not watching the game but it seems like the Wings are shooting way more than the Coyotes right now. Regardless of what has come out from this game, we have to win this game. If not, I am going to be super pissed off..

I think people think we have to sign both Hossa and Franzen. The reality is that is not what should be done. The salary cap will go down next season, not sure about this part but at least it will not increase by the depression of the economy of all over the world, especially stock value crush down in America right now. If we think Hossa will sign for 6 million to 6.5 million, Franzen will ask also 4 million. By math, it is 2 million gap. We know have 47cap hit, which allows only more 10 million. I personally do not believe Franzen is worth 4 million. He is a good player, good net presence, but if you the amount of 4 million, at least a player should be consistent. Don't forget Franzen is a late boomer since last season's March and the playoff. Hossa has been the All Star of the NHL for a while and will be. It is a big difference. One reporter said we better sign Franzen first because we drafted him. I know that and we all love Franzen but there should be an unavoidable situation that we have to throw out one of those two players. If we can sign only one player while we also need to consider about resigning Huds and Leino, who are our future, who are you gonna pick, Frazen or Hossa? I will definately take Hossa. If we sign both for the future, who is gonna be our goalie? Do you guys want to see hilarious Osgood and Howard rotation goalie system? Better than that, let's get a confident number one goalie. Why do we have to worry about goaltending every season since 01-02? This issue has been sharp for a while but just because Osgood played amazing last season, it does not mean the problem of our goaltending disappeared. I really hope the Wings keep Hossa, Leino, and Huds. We cannot sign Franzen, Sammy, Chellios, and other FA. It is sad but this is a real situation we have to face during the off season. There is hell no opportunity for us to keep every FA unless the salaray cap is gone. Then, trade either Filppula or Stuart for a goalie. Isn't that sound most likely? I don't know about other people's minds here but that sounds the most fittable Wings system for the next season for me.
