I am not against Osgood but Osgood has to show his confidence by the game performances. This speech of Osgood was already reported few months ago; in fact, since 30 games into the season. Osgood is just like "fine, I am on the right track". If he is on the right track, show the improvement. Being positive is good, but not always. Being positive when it is needed to panic, that is a failure. That was just my nation, Korean soccer team. They always say "we are good, we are trying to be positive, we will do better next time.." No difference. If Osgood really feels good, he should play good. If he does not play good, that means he does not feel great.. if he still says he feels great when he plays poorly, then something is wrong. Hopefully, Osgood just finally feels GREAT in himself after this long break, the result will come up with tomorrow's game.

Ah, and you mentioned about Brion's overall talent. I think he is pretty talented goalie but generally, he is like Fleury who is very inconsistent. You cannot call those guys great

Caps won again. Another example how bad the Penguins are this season and how inconsistent Fleury is, the most overrated goaltending in the league with Carey Price in my opinion.

I like the Wings stack up with tons of their offensive talent but if you see the Flyers, Biron has been just awfully terrinble during whole his career except for the last season. Detroit can be like that. I am saying this seriously. If we sign both Franzen and Hossa, where do you make the cap room for the goalie? Well, if Osgood turns real good or Howard becomes a super man next season, then we do not have to work on that. However, like you said, 'we'll need the offense'. If we see our lines, even though one of Hossa and Franzen goes out, our offenses will still work in the future I think

Agree. Even though I do not like this season's Osgood's performance, there is no just assumption how the things can be changed or gone. But let me tell something. Like there is no assumption on individual player, there is no magical assumption that Ozzie will turn around in the playoff either

Do you guys think Fleury is a good goalie? Seriously, everyone said he is still young and a lot of potential guy but he is having his 4th season and except for the last season, he has been just an average goalie or lower than the average. Besides, just an additional detail, but I am really happy that everyone now knows Ovechkin is better than Crosby and Crosby cannot play any defensive game; single dimensional player

Well, now Howard is sent down to GR again because of bad performance last night. However, we have to know this. If we do not resign Conklin for next year, then our goaltending rotation will be Howard and Osgood. If we consider Osgood cannot bounce back to his game since this season, what do we have to seriously? Then, we have to resign good goalie or making Howard the starting goalie. I do not particularly see Howard played that bad last night. He made some good saves from many turnovers and breakaways. By our cap situation, we even cannot resign an expensive goalie. That's why I think we do not have to sign both Franzen and Hossa.

First of all, it was a back to back game so the Wings might be really tired. It is an excuse but I do not see any team that can win back to back games against pretty solid teams in the West. I left after 2nd period so I did not know what happened in the 3rd. However, I calculated Howard's sv percentage and his one was approximately 85%. But we have to know this. I am not a Howard lover before I say this but he might be nervous by first game of the season in the NHL. Besides, according to watching until the 2nd period, our defenses even could not skate well. Kronwall, Meech, Rafalski especially these guys and even Pasha and Hank made a lot of turnover on the blue line. I think Howard made some good saves for us. I do not say he was good but let's see one more game from him. Ideally the game against the Kings at HOME. If he does not improve, then send him down again and test Osgood's new performance after 10 days break time. Before blaming Howard, we have to criticize Kronwall and Meech especially. I know Raffy did suck but Kronwall and Meech have made tons of turnovers so far this season. It does not matter how many points Kronwall now has because defenses should be solid on defenses first, not offenses. For Meech, I am being very disappointed at this guy. I do not see we resign him. We have Eriksson in the AHL and it will be good if we call him up to see his potential talent. By the way, it would not be good if we started Conklin again. He just played yesterday so no one knows how well he would perform tonight against the Wild. I think it was a good test for us to judge some of Howard's talent. I like this guy but I think he will be the NHLer maybe next season, not this season.
