Osgood looks sharper
-
Wow, no Backstrom against us again
-
BTW, is McCarty back on line up?
-
hopefully I am wrong but as Osgood starts the game, I am feeling little bit scary. Our offenses have to be really good this game. If Osgood plays good, we will take it easy but I don't expect that happen so our offenses have to be terrific or our defenses have to supreme. Wings take this game 4-3 over the Wild.

I don't think Price can be even close to Luongo. Price is good? Yes he is good but is he spectacular? No. Still, he can be next Roy but I don't think so. Well, even though they make a big splash during the trade deadline, I don't see them to go far in the playoff. Kovalev does not have a good season like last season and their special teams are pretty bad this season.

Again, Montreal sucks this season. In my opinion, not by the standing, but if Habs comes to the West, they will not make the playoff. They have no goalie, no defense except for Markov and their offenses became sucks compare to the last season.

By the way, I don't understand people here bashing Filp. He has not been good but lately, his movement has been improved and don't forget he is young and still very good defensively. If he comes to play defensive game first, offensive skill will follow up. Moreover, this season he makes only 2 million. It just seems like people bashing him because he was good last season's playoff and now he is not good. What's the difference between Filp and Osgood then? Osgood has been worse than Filp. And if someone bashes Osgood, Osgood protectors are like "you are idiot, you bash Osgood just because he only sucks this season".

Next year, according to the cap chart, we have 10 million left on our cap. And we know Nick is getting old right now and Chelli will possibly retire after this season. Yes Eriksson can do the job but it will be almost impossible to get the guy who can replace Nick. Then, we have two choices. We should get a goalie that can absorb many shots like Luongo, or having 2 good defensive pairs right now. Personally, I would follow to take a goalie. It is almost impossible for us to alternate Nick's role right now. There is no one in the league who can replace the job like Nick. Then, as we consider Raffy, Kronwall are very offensive defenses and Stuart is a big hitter with Lilja, we cannot be sure that our defenses will be this solid in the future after Nick ends his prime. Besides, if Franzen takes 4 million, that's absolutely an overpayment. I think people are thinking too much of his last season's playoff performance. He was terrific but if he takes 4 million, that sounds ridiculous to me. He is boomed lately and if Hossa says between 6-6.5, then I am gonna resign Hossa and keep the core with Huds. If Huds takes 2 million and increasing the cap hit as the time passes more and more, that comes out with pretty much deal. Then 2 millions are left and we cannot resign Franzen. Don't forget Leino will be RFA too after this season. As the futurue consideration, we should keep him here.

If we suppose Hudler can play many roles as offensive, he can be the 2nd liner by now his performance. Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Homer Leino-Hossa-Hudler Filp-Cleary-Helm Draper-Maltby-Downey If Sammy can sign with a small amount of money, I will take him. He is not a good puck controller but he can be the 2nd lining scorer in any other team. Besides, if Filp does not improve his game, we have to take him seriously. He will get more and more later and if he does not produce many points or good performance, we will not be able to avoid the chance to trade him. For 4th line, send Kopecky down. We don't need him. Just because he is Hossa's good friend, it does not directly mean he is supposed to be in this team. We need Downey on this team. He brought up a lot of physical play against the Stars and that's the type of player we want to be in this team, not Kopecky who gets needless penalty and cannot do anything with the role of 4th liner.

First of all, Jagr should not be interested to be the Wings because he may want to play as a core player. Besides, as the example of slump of Sundin in the Canucks, Kenny will never sign him. If he comes back to the NHL, the arrival should be at Pittsburgh I think. If he goes to the Oilers, thats probably the occasion that he only wants a big amount of money. The Oilers has the worst coach in the league and many of their fans dumped the Oilers already this season as always.

Yes. Boston has been good but they don't seem to win the cup. Standing is only standing and points are still only points. Look at the Bruins division. Sens,Leafs are just sucks right now and Habs do not have powerful offenses anymore as thje last season and Sabres contains no intensity. Besides, if you see the standing of East between 4th to 15th, even though the point gap is big, I don't see any difference between 4th and 15th. Rangers has no offense, Phillys no goalie, Bruins no defenses, and except for the Caps, Southeast is the place top teams in the East just earn points. In west, like today's game, Nashville is at the bottom, well not 15th but still, we had a hard time to beat them. In the East, does the top team have a hard to overcome the bottom team? Not at all. That's the difference between East and West. Besides, most people somehow look only standing and points. I don't think Thomas will lead that team to the far distance of the playoff. Yes, he has been terrific this season so far and the top leader in many stats of the goalie. He somehow seems like Price last season who was expected to be good but not great. Still, no one can predict the playoff but in my opinion, except for the Devils, I don't see any other team in the East that can compete hard against the top teams in the West.

Euro twin have done it again. I have to go out right now so I am going out. Not a bad performance but we cannot call this game as the perfect performance. This game showed up the problem of our 3rd pair of defenses and 4th line still. I hope Stuart will be back soon. Send Kopecky down and bring up Downey. Kopecky even cannot provide the physical play but makes some unnecessary penalties. Downey can play physically. Good to see Conks was enough. 1st goal was pretty weak but he was enough to win this game again. Like the 3rd goal, it is a defenses problem.
-
no 6 on 4....
-
I think the 3rd goal was kind of a problem of line change. Maltby looked like to make a line change but he thought he had to defend.. miss judgement
-
damn... what a goal though. Chelli looks out tonight...
-
way better PK than before.
-
Hank love you!!!!!!!!!
-
We have to be sharp as we were in the 1st period in the 3rd period. More than offenses, defenses should play their best hockey again. Offenses need to step up also.
-
2nd goal was kind of comprehensible because it was a deflection but Nick has to move around the net, not just beside the net. 1st goal was all Kopecky. Why did he take a needless penalty? We should not resign Kopecky, he cannot do anything. Look at Maltby and Draper. They are not as good as last season but they still can play well but Kopecky is spotless in this team.
-
We now really have to settle down. 2 goal should be the maximum number of goals to be allowed.
-
God damn.. one goal game....
-
now SJ is leading Boston by 4-2. What a comeback for the Sharks in the 3rd
-
Well.. that was a bad allowing by Conks but Kopecky should be sent down damn!!
-
Well not really. I think the ref was fair and I thought once that Preds had to get PP but not all ref can do everything fairly. And who cares. This ref is way better than Dan O Hollaran
