Years ago, KSAN-FM in San Francisco ran the following contest: you're stuck on an island and you have a record player and one record to play over and over again; what is that song? I was looking for a picture of him when he played in St. Catharines. The next best was found at Classic Auctions dot net. Kind of sad that he sold off a lot of his memorabilia. When I hear Mr. Dionne's name, I'm reminded of this story: In the early-1970's, a bunch of us were up at Oakes Park for a game of touch football. In the far north-west corner was a ball diamond (no longer there). On that Sunday, there was a practice of a slo pitch team that went by the name "Team Canada". Marcel, Rick Ley, Don Lever and a lot of other great athletes were on the team. They would go into tournaments and clean up. On this day, we saw a Rolls Royce (gold in colour, I think) parked near the one bench, not behind the backstop as you might expect. Somebody says "Turk's here". The car belonged to Derek Sanderson, another member of the team.
