July the 22nd marked the thirty-eighth anniversary of a road trip (on a day that was hotter than bear’s breath) with four friends driving down to Pittsburgh, PA. to attend a concert at the beautifully air conditioned Civic Arena. It was one of the stops on the STP. The opening act: Stevie Wonder. The cost of a ticket: $6.50, with seats on the floor! And yes, it was great. Sadly, one of the four friends recently died at age fifty-five. In honour of J.A.A. and that trip, (and also part of the set list): "You Can't Always Get What You Want" – The Rolling Stones.
