Another idea for GM's - Shorten Season to 70-74 games
cusimano_brothers replied to RedWingsRox's topic in General
There is a good chance the League would still have an 84-game schedule, had it not been for the lockout in 1994-95; they went from 80 games (for the last time) in 1991-92 and went to 84 games, for two seasons, in 1992-93. If the League, and the General Managers, care about the health and well-being of the players, they should look at the rules, not the schedule. -

Because there isn't enough proper drainage to have the roof open in any season. This came to light last year when the Buffalo Bills played Miami in December and the roof had to be kept closed. The Bills were hoping to have their usual "home-field advantage" for this game (i.e., snow and cold) with the roof open, but were told it couldn't happen.

Mr. Hodge was talking about the way the NFL has dealt with safety issues, not the number of "foam fingers" sold.

In the summer, I saw an interview on tv with Jack Dorsey, the man who created Twitter and is now one of it's co-owners. At that time, he said the company wasn't making any money.

He really didn't "tweet" that, did he?

To me, this is worse than a Coach "calling out" his goaltender in the media. -

It was a poor attempt at a "spin" by him, that's for sure. -
If there was no NHLPA, would the players play?
