No matter how tough the times are...

A very good idea. And I think Mr. Howe would appreciate it. -
Toronto Star. To think of Mr. Howe at playoff time, and especially during the Stanley Cup Final, is just part of the heritage of the Club and part of being a Red Wing fan.

I'd like to add another optimistic fact to Mr. Khan's article: in Stanley Cup Final G7's with home ice advantage, Detroit is 3-1 (wins in 1950, 1954 and 1955, with the loss in 1945, a best-of-eight points series).

Crosby is coasting in the slipstream of others.

No reference to Penguins fans in my repsonse; it's only in the OP.

SCF GAME 6 GDT: Red Wings 1 at Penguins 2

The maddening bad news: 37 shots by Detroit didn't even make it to the net; 17 off target and 20 blocked. The optimistic good news: h-i-a. -
The original OP: If the Pens pull this off on Friday...., We, as DRW fans, will have the notion stuck in our face that Dan Byslma is a better Head Coach than Mike Babcock; and, no matter how you cut it, that is simply not the case.

Maybe they can pull out that "six men on the ice" trick; nobody will be expecting that one again.
-
Fleury; he wants a chance at winning a Cup.

Mr. Melrose's first season as Head Coach of Los Angeles was 1992–93, being with Adirondack the previous season. Mr. Bowman's first season as Head Coach of Detroit was 1993–94, being with Pittsburgh the previous season. If you were the head of the DRW then, with a choice of one of those two as your new Head Coach, who would you choose? Mr. Melrose drove the first screw. Detroit drove the final one.

Funny how things work (or don't) work out sometimes.

After seeing the video of the DRW Limo in Pittsburgh, you may have to brush up on your cursing. And don't drink the water. -
