Yes and yes. We have two national sports: hockey for the winter and lacrosse for the summer. Lacrosse received the honour first.

Some fans let the Standings in the sports section determine how much they follow the Club during the regular season. When the ratings drop during the playoffs, that's when the broadcasters, and the advertisers, should start to worry. Plus, with all the TV timeouts and this commercial break and that commercial break...I mean for a game that is billed as one of the fastest in the world, it sure takes a long time to play one!

Not right now We can put this soap opera on the back burner...for now.

Oh well, we'll just have to wait until next year for the Club's 100th win versus Minnesota / Cleveland / Dallas.

Correct. Last season's losing streaks, 3 or more: 7-17 February, 6 games 22-29 February, 4 games 11-17 November, 3 games 10-15 January, 3 games. The two losing streaks in Janaury were split by one win. Just for fun the other night, I took the time to check on the Club's record following the the All-Star / Olympic break, in an 82-game schedule. The Club's best finish was in 1995-96, going 30W-4L-4T in their last 38 games. Their worst finish was last season, going 13W-10L-1OTL-1SOL in their last 25 games, marginally being just worse then 1998-99 (percentage wise), when they were 12W-9L-3T in their last 24 games. And, they did all right last season, agreed? All it takes is one win to start a new streak.

It is rhetoric like this that is ruining the game and league!

Do they have any lead paint on them? Just make sure that "Zetterberg" doesn't have two "e's" together.

Good news!

Should the NHL All Star game return to NA vs World format?
cusimano_brothers replied to BeeRYCE's topic in General
My apologies; I forgot that the League was quite content to have the ASG end in a tie in those days. So: 19 games, with the SC champions winning 7, the all-stars winning 9 and 3 ending in a tie. -
He must have used the super healing powers from his Memorial Cup ring. What? He didn't? Oh, never mind.

Did MacTavish flip out at the press conference following the game? Sometimes, it looks as if his head might blow up, blow up real good. -

This might help. In the period from 1947 through 1968, (not 1951, 1952 or 1966), when the reigning SC champions played the All-Stars, the totals were: 19 games, with 7 wins for the SC champs, 12 for the all-stars. Detroit played in 3 games with this format, winning 2 of them and tieing the other. -
You mean Inspector Gadget's bff Sid? All Sid; all the time.

The guy giving him the cap said: "This just arrived from somebody by the name of Martin Gerber". I "googled" the translation of what is on the cap and it came back as: "Never mind 'I'm with', I AM stupid!"

If (I said "if") they ever got a team in LV (franchise transfer or expansion), the obvious choice for Head Coach would be Rick Tocchet.
