From NHL: From Sportsnet: Too early for the "Injury Thread"? Welcome to Bettmanland, "Home of the Golden Rule".

I sincerely hope that Uncle Gary's latest "cunning stunt" results in even more solidarity in the PA. The fact that he tried this is bad. The fact that it has been made public by the media is great.

"Bobo on the Corner" - Beastie Boys.

There is that quote from Uncle Bill-shut. Does kind of make it "official".

CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending 21/10/2012. He'll be a great asset for Seattle.

Why would the players contact the owners for information? Uncle Gary's "propaganda machine" working overtime. I call "radishes".

Sacrifice the full season to guarantee Bettman's removal?

That's an easy one: Gil Stein. -

Uncle Gary says that operating costs have become unmanageable for some teams. He has chosen to attack the area that, that in his eyes, is the most obvious: player's salaries. What he needs to do is attack the area, that in my eyes, is the most obvious: the owners who pay the player's salaries. He won't do that because they pay his salary as well. Remember: 30-0.

I wonder if Jay Cutler is burning a Chris Chelios jersey today?

From Sportsnet: After all, this is his first rodeo/lockout. In the KHL, does he get the bill for the shattered glass?

Sorry, William Hung; that would be too obvious. "She Sang Hymns Out of Tune" - Harry Nilsson.

Your recommendation should not be ignored. This is one of the best assessments of the situation to date; both scathing and absolutely truthful.

"Big Tex" is gone? Say it ain't so!

Uncle Gary wanted Edmonton to get the wheels in motion for the building of a new arena. That was done. Talks wee dragging because of dollars (what else). Katz visits Seattle, then returns claiming he wasn't doing reconnoissance as a backup plan, saying he's "sorry". Now, this latest mess of breaking off discussions. Irony: the same man who started this might have to step in to try and help keep them in Edmonton, especially if Katz makes a return visit to Seattle.
