I just had to look it up, so I did. There were forty-eight games played over seventeen calendar weeks in the shortened season. Six times Detroit played four games in a calendar week and of those they didn't have one losing week. -
Last season Rogers Sportsnet started something new: Friday Night Hockey . It began mid-November and went through to March, featuring a CHL doubleheader. I can't find information about the upcoming season but I suspect they will be doing it again.

All three branches (lower case "b") of the CHL begin their schedules tomorrow. If you haven't been to a game in awhile, go; I don't think you'll be disappointed.

It would be nice if both sides try to make the "small groups" concept work; it can work. I guess that's the only option left.

If they keep that same officiating crew doing all of the Monday night games, ratings will skyrocket and the WWE will have some serious competition.
