GMR i see your reasoning for putting him ahead of Dats but wouldnt you say Malkin is above Sid by the way your grading Sid against Dats should Geno not be ahead of crosby? Regular season they are equal, both tore it up in the postseason and Malkin stayed healthy

i think if you asked most people on here would agree that if guys like Ovie, Geno and Sid continue to improve then yeah when they are dats and Zs age they will be better then they were at that age

Bert made a mistake something we all do. some people just cant let it go was it bad, yeah id probably say it was a heinous act but i pretty sure he regrets what he did. Some people just can't let it go and who knows why, maybe when they look at Bert they feel better about the things they've done in there life.

im in agreement with Broken stats arnt everything and pavel was playing pre lockout and at one point was a 3rd liner Crosby's been a 1st/2nd liner since he entered the league. Pavs, Geno and Sid are closer then people realize. My vote goes to Malkin hes more durable then Sid better defensively and can be just as dominant offensively im guessing we are voting as in the now not in a few years i think in the next season or two guys like Getz, Geno and Sid will open the gap between them and guys like Z and Dats

having a 13th forward will help i think due to health problems we will see Homer, Bert, Eaves, Malts and Draper getting rested at times during the season to try and keep everyone fresh for the playoffs ideally homer should play about 60-65 games and just keep him rested if possible id like to see Z/D/Cleary William/Flip/Mule (that way Flip and Mule will make up for J Wills laziness) Bert/Helm/Leino (again Bert can be lazy on D so Helm and Leino to some extent will make up for it) Eave/Draper/Malts You could switch Wills and Bert if needed and then just rotate Homer in there So lets say Babs gives Bert the day off and then Homer comes in Z/D/H Cleary/Flip/Mule Wills/Helm/Leino Eaves/Drapes/Malts what will be interesting to see if a guy like Bert or Wills gets lined up with Helm i wonder if Helms play would push them to play harder one thing i will say i dont think you could put Bert and Will on the same line because both are defensively inadequate even Dats couldnt make up for both of their laziness

The year we signed Ralfs we had offered Schneids 5 mil a year if i remember correctly Leino wont be on the fourth line and i think Flip starts as our number 2 center and the center for the 2nd pp unit they need to give him time to prove hes worth what he is being paid

he didnt make 10 mil per say but it was pro-rated so had he signed for the whole year it would have been 10 mil if i remember correctly

i dont see them signing J Wills to play on the 4th line grier taking a cut is more likely then Mats it really comes down to if the isles offered you a 1 yr deal at 2 mil or the wings offered 1 yr t 1 mil i could see grier taking that deal the longer these guys wait and dont get offers the lower their price will be unless the KHL has any interest in them
