For me it's not specfically Vancouver, I just don't want to see any Canadian Team win the Cup for a few more years. Since the Cup has been around mor Canadian Teams have won it which it is a Canadian Sport and the Stanley Cup did come from a Canadian I'm an American and I just want to see more USA Teams get the cup. If you want the truth I hate the Habs more than the Nucks.

Now that Vancouver has broker the curse of not beating the Blackhawks I'm really excited about this series. Nashville is a gritty team and I'm sure they will be ready. Vancouver has a lot of dept and not as much rest but I really wouldn't be suprised if this went to 7 games again.

Now that the Predators have advanced to the 2nd Round of the Playoffs let's consider the possibilties of who we could play if the Canucks do win their series than they will play the Predators as long as San Jose Beats LA. Now lets the Blackhawks do come back and Win and than LA wins than that would mean the Wings are the highest seed remaining in the West and they would play the Hawks and it would be LA and Nashvile. Now if Vacouver wins and San Jose wins Wings will play San Josen in Round 2. So who would you like to see the Wings play in the next round. No matter what really happens who do you want the Wings to play. I'm actually kinda hoping the Wings would play the Hawks however if Chicago can beat a 1st place team what could they do Vs a 3rd place team but that's not saying anything becasue we all know anything can happen in the playoffs. More realstically I guess I'd want to play San Jose becasue the Wings played them last year in the 2nd round and they beat us so I would hope that would make the Wings that much more hungry to beat them this season. So what are you thoughts and who would you like to see the Wings play?

Well no matter who the Wings play next I know one thing for sure I'm gonna really really start dreading the playoffs now. I predict a lot of sleepless nights and some upset stomach's for the next few weeks at least hopefully two months but I'll say a few weeks for now. Gonna need some Pepto and a lot of Tylenol PM.

My only worries are the team continuing to play as hard as they have been and the inconsistent defense. PK they can work on and get better in fact they need to work on overall special teams. Also I think it isn't always about matching up as far as skill and such I do believe in Hunger and a desire to keep on playing, now that being said I think a hunger can only go so far you have to have some luck and you MUST play your best game in and game out. If they Wings can just stay on this track with everyone healthy and returning they could make a serious run in these playoffs. Remember before the NHL Regular season started it was predicted that it would be the Caps and Wings in the Finals this season. I still believe in that possibility.

Well I wouldn't keep Salei, I may get flamed for this but I really didn't see a whole lot of contributing during the regualr season or in the playoffs so far. So having his salary and the 6 mil I'd invest in another goal scorer or possibly a very strong defenseman and a stable back-up for Jimmy.

I didn't see this hit as meritting a suspension but what do I know.

All of them played critical roles in the Wings advancement in the playoffs but I'd have to go with Pavs!! He wasn't just a goal scorer for us he was a play maker and he plays great D for a forward.

I started mine a week before the playoffs because I never really get much of a beard more like a Goutee. But I do have one. Let's Go Red Wings!!

The Yotes were a team I honeslty didn't want the Wings to have to play again. They are a grea team and a very tough first round opponent. I really didn't expect a sweep not after thinkg about last season. Congrats to Phoenix on being a great hockey city and for a great season.

Damn, I kinda wanted ESPN to tack back NHL coverage. Just seems to me that the commentators always seem to talke down the Wings or talk up the other team if they are covering a Red Wings Game. I'll stick with FSD for as many games as possible.

I will sure be glad when he get's back. I mean I know the Wings are doing fine right now but it would be nice to have the entire roster healthy for the playoffs.

I'd love to get together with other fans on here that are going to camp. When it gets closer to time we will have to develop a plan to do so.

I know a lot of people feel that this time (Playoff Time) is the best time of the season for fans. Personally I disagree to me September is the best time of the season for me. September the NHL Prospect Camp and Detroit Red Wings Training Camp happens in Traverse City and even when that is over it signal's the start of the NHL season. This time of the season is what I hate. I've gotten to the point where I dred the playoffs. I stop worrying about watching the Wings and just worry about the outcome of the game. Even if the Wings Win the Cup I'd rather not see the game and know that the Wings have won it and be happy until the Championship Video comes out. It's kind of a grim outlook but after January 1st is the time of the season I just dred becasue half the season is over and I know summer is coming and I hate summer. If it were up to me It would Snow and be cold here in Michigan from September 1st until May 1st and than it would snow on June 11th (My Birthday). So I want to know what part of the Hockey season is your favorite/best time of the season. All opnions welcome please share. Let's Go Red Wings!!

VM, BigWillie, and Stuck: All 3 of your comments make me see what the playoffs are all about and how everyone does indeed come from different walks of life and I don't think any opnion is a wrong opnion becasue that is what it is your opnion. The playoffs is what September is all about and you do play for the chance to still be playing in June and win that Cup. I to am a person that takes the Wings winning and losing personal, becasue to mee it isn't just a game. If you look at it from the players point of veiw this is their lives and their jobs it's what they work all year long for to stay in shape and stay in the NHL so it isn't just a game so I get what you are ALL saying. Maybe one day I'll change the way I feel about when is my favorite time of the season. Nice job everyone!!

Great sharing everyone. I can see all of your points. I just don't like the thought of the season being over. I mean I know all sports have their season and it always has to end sometime and it's not like it won't ever back. I understand the players need a break but I don't think I ever need a break from hockey even when the summer years ago I'd watch Pro Beach Hockey on ESPN quite a few years ago. I also like September becasue I'm BIG on the Holidays escpecially Christmas and being able to watch hockey during my favorite time of the year is just gold for me. Playoffs are always fun to watch but at the same time I just get so sick. For example: Game 7 of the 02 West Conference Finals Vs Colorado that entire day up until the game I did not eat anything becasue I was just so sick and worring about the Wings hoping that there great season wasn't going to come to and end by the hands of our Arch Rivals. So I understand those of you that do favor the playoffs and think this is the best time of the season I just don't agree, lol. But keep it up let me know your thoughts and feelings about the season.

You can definetly count me in, I'll do all that I can. I hate the NHL and what it does to the Detroit Red Wings. I've been believing that the NHL has been against the Wings for a long time. My best example is Game 1 or 2 of the 09 Stanley Cup Finals which I taped most of and afther Bettman's interveiw with Mickey and Ken Bettman is sitting in his seast at the Joe and at that point it's either 2 or 3-0 Wings and Bettman just looks like he is seething. I mean you could fry Sunday morning breakfast on top of his head he looks so pissed. So I'll do what I can and help the Wings gain respect from the NHL.

We got our tickets. I'm very excited, I was worried we weren't going to get any as we were fairly far back of the line and there were about 4 people right in front of us that were getting like 8 tickets for every day so I was very nervous. We were able to get all reserved seating for everyday but Saturday as they didn't not have anymore left for 3 people all together unless we wanted the Mezzanine which would have been nice but we can't see spending that much money for just one day and it's not even the Big game day anyways. The most important thing is that we were able to get tickets. It was nice becasue when we got there the weather was bad and it was cold and rainy at the arena so instead of making everyone wait outside which is what they normally do they let us all wait inside. The Arena is very cool so it was a welcome sight to be able to be back in the Arena it brought back a ton of GREAT memories as this is the 5th time we will be going to the DRWTC. It made me wish that it was already September but on the other hand I'm glad to waith becasue than it's not here and over before I know it which is what it will be anyways so I may as well wait. After getting the Tickets we went to grab a bite to eat at the House of Doggs and than we went to a few Wineries which is always fun so we were able to make somewhat of a day out of it which was quite fun. I hope everyone that went to get tickets today were atleast able to get tickets even if it wasn't exactlly what you want. Go Red Wings!! Is it September yet??

I'm very glad you got to you first Wings game, I've been to 3 Wings Game so far all at the Joe the last one just this season when my sled hockey team got invited to watch practice and play sled hockey game on the Joe Louis Arena ice. I would love to go to an away Wings game. How was the United Center? I'd like to go to a Bruins Vs Wings game in Boston that would be great. Glad you had a great time hope you get to go to another one soon. Great story thanks for sharing. PS: Moline does have a hockey team. The Quad City Mallards of the Central Hockey League plays there, otherwise that's it and I agree with you Moline does suck.

What a bunch of f***ED up Hoses***. That just pisses me off. Thanks for ruining a great tradition that has been around for many many years. That is absolutely disgusting I'm fuming right now. I ******* hate the NHL and all those ***** ass fans that have a problem with throwing and octopus on the ice. I could see if it was a puck and it was injuring a player or something like that, Than I'd be fine with taking it out of the game but this is something we as Wings fans just do. Now I admit I've never done it but have always wanted to and now I won't ever get the chance to without facing some f***ed up charges and a huge ass fine. Sorry for all the swearing but just reading this makes me very mad. I agree with Esteef let's all throw them and see what the f*** they do. Let's Go Red Wings!!!!

I'm rooting for Anaheim and I think they will win but Nashville is a tough gritty team so it should be a very interesting series!!
