I love Ozzie he is a great goalie and I have always supported him. I will admit that i've had doubts sometimes but I've always been a fan of his even during the time he wasn't a Wing. With his age and the way the league is starting to lean towards youth he is just going to have to be as paitent as he can and when he does get a chance to play he has to make the most of it. Jimmy is doing great right now for the way the Wings are playing. I understand that it gets frustrating at time just sitting on the bench watching. You have to go with your best players and right now Jimmy is doing better than Ozzie and he's in the net. I support Ozzie and I hope he does get some playing time soon but it's about team success and whoever can provide that is the one that needs to be playing.

Jimmy definetly deserved a better fate than what he got. Yes I think it should have been a regulation shutout win but I would have been satisfied to take the W in OT but it wasn't we lost and it really frustrates me. I still have all the confidence in the world in Howard he is doing what I hoped he'd do at the start of the season. We should have been able to put that puck in the net with a two-man advantage for over a minute. Our special teams has not been good this season. Power Play has definetly decreased we really need to capitilze on those quality chances. I just hope the Wings can get healthy soon and get better. I still believe this team is a Playoff contending team until I'm proven otherwise. Let's Go Wings!!

Giving the Jackets and Steve Mason full props but I really think the Wings should have won that game. I think we had the better chances and god knows we had enought oppertunities to at least get one goal on the Power Play. I know we have a lot of key players out still but we really need to do a lot better on these chances that we are getting. Hopefully things can get turned around soon enough and we can start putting the puck in the net on a more consistent basis.

This is the one thing I look at this season as it's stated in this thread the Wings are in the best position this season to get a very good draft pick. Do they really need it I'm not sure but it would be nice to get a high pick in this years draft. I'm really not sure if I'd go Defense or not. I'm actually leaning toward a high powered hight octane forward. Let's look. We are still almost at a log jam on D even when Liddy retires we still seem to have a pretty good defensive corps. What happens when Holmstrom, Maltby, and Draper retire. That's three forward right there now not saying that they will are retire at once and yes we seem to have a pretty good offensive corp in the coming years but I'd prefer to see a 1st round draft pick be a Offensive player and than have the next rounds of the draft really focus on d. I know we did pretty good this past draft in getting Ferarro and Tatar as Forwards but we've done just as good on D as well. So I'm not sure. To me I want a young forward that doesn't have to be rushed to the NHL but that can be ready in 3 years or less. Youth movement really going to happen in the next three years, I just want to be ready for it. Without scarificing to many points in the standings.

I'll be honest ever since the Steve Moore incident I have not been a fan of Bertuzzi at all. When we get him in 06/07 I was somewhat disgusted. Now I have to admit this season he has kinda grown on me. Not really because of his play as of late but just because he really is showing that he cares about being on this team and actually contributing in a postive way for the Wings. I'm glad he is getting the points and I hope he continutes to. So as of this season right now even thoug the Wings aren't doing that great right now I'm happy with Bertuzzi.

Yeah you're right the Brass were a great Louisiana Hockey Team. I followed them just as much as all the other Louisiana teams in the ECHL and the old Western Pro Hockey League now the CHL. I really wish there were still like 7 teams in Louisiana it was a lot of fun listening to their games. Now there's only 2 Teams. That I know of for sure.

Oddly enough when the Louisiana IceGators were in the ECHL they were my favorite team. The arena was about 50 miles away from where I lived. However the team wasn't around until after I moved up here. I have an IceGators jersey from when they were an ECHL Team. Go Gators. I remember when Rich Kromm did that when he was coaching the Muskegon Fury at the time.

Definetly games he could gain some confidence in. Hopefully he did and he'll only get better. Nice job by Jimmy and the Wings on getting two W's in two games. Congrats to Jimmy for getting his first career NHL Assist.
