Just played the Nucks Vs Wings in my Be A GM Mode on NHL 10 and won 6-4. I wonder if that will really happen.?

Of course the Wings play great when I'm working until 9:30 and can't see any of it. Welcome to my life.

Giguere needs to prove his worth. If he plays well enough to knock Hiller to the back-up position than you can't tell me that the Ducks are going to use a good goalie. On the other hand if Anaheim is just set on having Hiller as the starter than Giggy should get out of there. I mean he did lead the Ducks to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals in 03 and did win the Conn Smythe Trophy when his team didn't even win the Cup. He also helped lead the team to their first ever Stanley Cup Championship in 07. Giguere deserves to play he is a great goalie even if it means not playing in Anaheim.

Congrats to all the Inductees of the 09 Class in the Hockey Hall of Fame. Especially Steve Yzerman. He was a great captain and great player for us and I'm truly honored that I was able to get his autograph. He definetly deserves this honor. Great Job Stevey Y!!

Thanks, I was wondering about that. I'm still unsure of what I would do with Lebda. I still like the idea of trading him for a pick but I'm not sure how realistic that is.

I would love to be able to get rid of Lebda but I don't know what we would get in exchange for him. Maybe a 7th round pick or another mid-age or even older player for him. I don't see the Wings being able to get a nice young prospect or any higher pick than a 5th round pick and even that might be a steal. How many more season's do we have Lebda? If he's an FA after this season than I just say keep him for this season and just don't resign him. If he has a few more seasons than maybe buy out his contract. I'd prefer a draft pick for him but given our rep with what we've been able to pull out late in the draft I don't see to many teams willing to give us any picks unless it's for a much better player that Lebda.

That's great news for Manny. I like him alot I thought he was a pretty good goalie for us while he was here. We were never going to win a Cup with him as a Starter but he made a very good consistent back-up for the Wings. Hopefully he does well in Carolina.

Is Ritola going to be able to come up to the Wings next season of does he need some more development?

I'm a firm believer in letting that 3 Year Entry Level deal play out than after that's done make a decision from there. A lot of factors come into play about how a player develops. You have to give a player enough time to get built up and get some confidence but you can't wait too long or they get to used to playing at that level and when it's time to come up they are no wheres near ready. You just have to know where that fine line is.

Hopefully Janik an make a positive impact on tonights game. I don't expect a whole lot but as long as he can contribute to the team that would be good.

My next question is if Larsson has to come up next season and Ozzie doesn't retire what will happen? Wings can't have 3 goalies up unless one is scratched if I'm correct. So does this mean that the Wings will draft another goalie in the 10 Draft? Seeing as McCollum may be the only one in GR next season unless we signe a FA goalie. Forgive me if I don't make sence but I've got a little Captain in ME.

I've seen Tavares one game. I think it was against the Oilers but I'm not sure. He looked pretty good and he scored a shootout goal. I'm more impressed with Matt Duchene with the Avs. He looks really promising and looks like a good player and will have a bright future if he continues to play the way he has so far this season. I got to see Evander Kane wit the Thrashers at the Prospect Camp and he was quite impressive as well.

Please don't let it be serious. The Wings really don't need another injury.

I truly belive that McCollum will be the Wings goalie of the Future. As for Larsson or Howard; once Ozzie retires than a decison is going to have to be made. I don't thinke McCollum will be ready just than to come up but when he is either Howard or Larsson may have to be traded or done something with. I agree the two guys in GR are the future of the Wings goaltenders and I think in time they will be great goalies. That brings up the question I had this past September.... How many more seasons can Larsson be sent down to GR? When is his two-way contract up?

I've been a fan for about 15 years or more and I'm not about to give up on them now. I certainly don't want to see the team go completley south but if the Wings didn't make the playoffs for a while I'd still be around. I Love the Wings and I believe I always will.
