It might be a good idea to stick him in there for like a shift or two for a game and see how he does. The Wings need to give all of these guys a chance play before they make decisions on who stays and who goes for next season. If he gets a shot great if he doesn't oh well.

All the players got abused agains the Ducks; they are down right dirty and I'm glad to be rid of them for this season/playoffs. Hossa has been taking a licking by opposing players I think they are just trying to get inside his head and get him off his game because If he get's going in these playoffs for the Wings look out. A lot of our top guns need to get going but they can't if they are being handled phisically. Hossa is a tough guy and can handle the stuff he's taking it'll just take another game or two and he'll answer phyiscally and offensively.

The Detroit Red Wings have actually over 100 Stanley Cups if you count all the ones i've won playing NHL games on my PS1. PS2, PS3 and all the other game consoles.

The Cap hit would be to high and I'd rathe see him making only $4 mill and keep a couple of other good players than pay him more and have to move more players.

Well to be honest it started with the Disney Mighty Ducks Movies. The 3rd on especially when Charlie is talking to the Girl he is trying to get with and he asked her "You've never heard of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks?...... They named a Pro Team after us." I had to see for myself and low-behold I just happened to turn it on to FSD at the right time in early October of 95 and the Anaheim Mighty Ducks were playing the Detroit Red Wings. I had never knew that Michigan had a pro hockey team until than and I watched that game and immediately I was hooked on Hockey and the Detroit Red Wings were my home team and as years went by I wanted to learn more and more about the sport and the Detroit Red Wings so I kept watching hockey and the Red Wings and my love and passion for them and the sport has grown every year since.

It's an easy decision for me.... Boom Gone.

If nothing else I'd like to see Hossa stay in Hockeytown for another 2 to 3 seasons. I don't know if the Wings will be able to sign him long term but changes need to be made on the roster to bring up some youth and after that is done maybe the Wings will find themselves with an extra 2 or 3 Million and the Wings can sign Hossa to a 5 or 7 year deal. I say the Wings need to keep Hossa for as long as possible.

Fedorov was a great player for the Wings and continues to be a great player for the Caps but I see no real reason the Wings should retire his number. If it were up to me I wouldn't he isn't a career player for the Wings like Yzerman was and like Lidsrom and Holmstrom and player like that. He's a great player but he's not a Red Wing anymore so I see no reason the Wings would waste a number retirment on him.

That was a great hit. It's just too bad that it wasn't enough to keep Umberger from scoing that goal.

Come out playing hard tonight guys because you know Columbus will be ready and they aren't going to just give up. So we need a solid effort to get it done tonight. Let's Go Red Wings!!!!

Detroit is going to have to come out and play some tremendous hockey. Once again the first 10 minutes of the game is going to be crucial and the Wings will need to bring all there skill and be willing to work hard because the Jackets will be ready to play and play hard. I hope the Wings will come as prepared as they can be to take on this team. Ozzie is going to have to continue being the Wizard of Oz and the defense will need to give him as much help as possible. When it comes to the Wings and this game the best defense is a hard and powerful defense.

The Canucks were just two powerful for the Blues there was no doubt in my mind that Vancouver was going to win that series. I hostley didn't think it was going to be a sweep but I knew they'd win.

Dats and the rest of the team will need to raise their game as the series shifts to Columbus. The Wings are going to need to come out strong because the Jackets will be hungry and ready for their first playoff win. Let's not let that happen.

I gotta say I'm a little worried about this. Columbus has had some pretty good success over the Wings this season, I hope I'm worrying for nothing and the Wings can douse the Jackets as quick as possible and move on but I think this is going to be a big series. I was really hoping to play the Ducks or Blues in the first round but oh well. Let's Go Wings beat the Jackets!!

I'd have to say that IMO Tampa Bay is the biggest let-down this season. After getting Stamkos as the #1 Draft pick tot he team and having Vinny Lecav and, Marty St. Louis and at least a par defense and goaltending. I really think they had a good chance to make the playoffs this season but I think Melrose made the wrong moves early in the season and that is what sunk the Bolts early. Not that it was all Melrose's fault but it was a very disappointing season for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Please Please Let the Detroit Red Wings keep Marian Hossa for a Long Long Time!!!!
